I have issues with my shipment which was shipped on 2021-11-10 via eBay International standard shipping and it supposed to be delivered to me on December 20 as final estimate date ,everything was fine Until the package Arrived to IPZ Frankfurt on 2021-11-30 Since then I haven’t see any tracking updates via eBay or dhl.de,I try many websites that provide tracking information and all gives me the same result,I try customer tracking number and local tracking number, I contact my local post office many time but without luck.
recently I found this website by accident
I give it a try and surprisingly he gave me an update to my shipment recorded on 2021-12-01,and this is was the last tracking updates to my package,the update status is strange to me and I don’t know what is mean.(Item returned from export Customs/Security.IPZ-FFM)
I contact the seller so many times but he says he can’t help me because it’s international shipment,even I told him try to open an investigation as DHL e-commerce said when I contact them via phone and they say only the seller can do it,but he didn’t,I have only 1 month starting from final estimated delivery date which is in my case start from December 20 to ask for refund As mentioned in the terms of money back on eBay
I did whatever I can,so now I don’t know what to do, Any kind of suggestions or help It will mean a lot to me guys
It sounds like the shipment is stuck in Customs somewhere. Could it be that the item is prohibited from being imported into your country? Have you contacted Customs?
it’s just a Game collectors edition so nothing prohibited,I import many Games collectors edition before
I contact my post office and they haven’t noticed anything,in fact no information received by local post office,still nothing shows in system when they try to track the shipment that mean still not arrive in my country
I read many complain and problems for shipment related to IPZ-FFM like Lost packages and Long delay for a month’s in social media like Reddit and the other platforms including eBay community,this why I’m worried about it and what should I do,it’s seller responsibility but he refuse to carry it,I pay over $240 for this item
You really have no reason to worry. You've indicated your aware of the 30-days past last estimated delivery date deadline to open an eBay case. If the last estimated delivery date was 12/20, your deadline would be 1/19. So if the package hasn't arrived by 1/15, go to item in your purchase history and select 'I didn't receive it' under More actions. That will open a case with eBay. If you receive the package after you've been refunded you can either repay the seller or refuse delivery.
I never had problems like this here since 2008 when I started dealing with eBay,so I have no idea

Start with eBay. Once you open a case with Paypal you no longer have any recourse through eBay.
After you open the eBay case they give the seller three business days to respond. If you haven't been refunded by day four you need to go back to the case and ask eBay to step in. At that point they should force the refund. But hopefully your package will arrive soon and the problem will be solved!

All the symptoms are same as you were facing. my shipment was dispatched n 25-04-2022, after 27th it is showing the location at IPZ-FFM Frankfurt. I purchased an item on Ebay almost a month ago from a seller in the US, I’m in Chile, and the package is “supposed” to arrive tomorrow. Well, like the title says, the package has been in IPZ-Ffm for over 2 weeks and I suspect my package won’t be arriving tomorrow or possibly anytime soon. I’ve heard the horror stories about IPZ-Ffm.
The last update I got was on the 23 that said an “additional inspection of the shipment” was taking place, after getting “held by export”. I’m starting to worry because of all the the horror stories and because I paid some good money for the item.
I’ve tried to see if there’s a way to contact DHL (or Deutsche Post. Don’t know what’s the difference. The last update was supposedly from them), but all I’ve found have been FAQs and foreign phone numbers.
What can I do? Who can I contact and how? And has anyone else gotten the “additional inspection of the shipment” update that can share their experience?
Your package is being shipped out via Ocean Freight. The earliest you'll get your package is 20 days; 30 days at the latest.
Do you know of any way to corroborate that? Would DHL let me know if I were to contact them?
I live in Southeast Asia, and I'm used to receiving parcels from Germany all the time. My most recent parcel came just this week with a total transit time of 28 days.The longest I had to wait was 30 days.
The long waiting time can be attributed to two reasons: 1. DHL Deutsche Post is restructuring its system due to COVID-19; and 2. the company is trying to save on freight costs with the Russia-Ukraine War still brewing on.
Your package will come, just be patient.
FYI: Germany is highly dependent on Russia for oil and energy. I can't blame them tho, I'd blame Putin for this.
