About the Opportunity
micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage finance professionals with experience across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and growth equity. In this role, you will apply real-world financial expertise to evaluate and improve AI model performance across financial reasoning, valuation, capital markets, and investment scenarios.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to valuation, financial modeling, markets, and investment analysis.
* Assess the accuracy, quality, and practical relevance of AI-generated financial reasoning.
* Create expert-level prompts based on real-world investment and transaction experience.
* Develop reference answers that reflect sound financial analysis and professional judgment.
* Identify factual errors, flawed calculations, weak reasoning, and unrealistic assumptions.
* Evaluate AI responses involving financial models, valuation methodologies, and investment decisions.
* Apply practical deal and market knowledge to assess the quality of model outputs.
* Provide structured domain feedback to identify areas for improvement.
* Contribute insights that directly help shape and improve AI model behavior.
Required Qualifications
* At least 1 year of professional experience at a well-known financial firm or legitimate startup.
* Experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or growth equity.
* Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
* Familiarity with capital markets and real-world investment scenarios.
* Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency with Excel.
* Ability to critically evaluate financial assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions.
* Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
* Excellent written communication skills in English.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working directly on investment transactions, financial models, valuations, or due diligence.
* Exposure to multiple areas of investment and finance.
* Experience evaluating complex financial analyses or investment cases.
* Strong understanding of market dynamics and financial decision-making.
* Ability to translate practical financial experience into clear evaluation criteria.
* Experience creating or reviewing detailed financial models and investment analyses.
