The man was with two other swimmers when he was pulled under the water on Sunday morning, according to officials Getty Point Reyes, California Multiple agencies are continuing to search for a swimmer who disappeared off the coast of Northern California after a reported shark attack . The man was with two other swimmers in the water Sunday morning near Wildcat Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County when he was reportedly attacked by a shark, witnesses told the U.S. Coast Guard, according to CBS affiliate KPIX-TV . Coast Guard San Francisco Public Information Officer Grace Patton told Fox News on Monday that the attack has not yet been confirmed. It was reported as a shark attack – we have not confirmed that, Patton said. When first responders with the Marin County Fire Department arrived at the scene, the two swimmers told them that they were about 25 to 50 yards from the shore when the man went under, per KPIX-TV. They also told authorities they saw a large pool of blood in the water. The fire department and the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as the National Park Service and the Marin County Sheriffs Office launched a search and rescue mission into the afternoon but had still not recovered the man’s body by late Sunday, according to The Mercury News .
