A Glimpse of the Future: First Photos and Key Details

The 2025 Skoda Elroq has been spotted on public roads, albeit in a camouflaged state, signaling that its world premiere is just around the corner. Despite the camouflage, Skoda has shared several key details about this eagerly anticipated vehicle, including its powertrainsbattery capacitiesrange, and cargo space.

Built on the MEB platform, the same as its predecessor the Enyaq, the Elroq offers four distinct powertrains. The Elroq 50 comes equipped with a rear-axle electric motor delivering 170 hp (125 kW) and a 55 kWh battery (52 kWh net). Its counterpart, the Elroq 60, boasts 204 hp (150 kW) and a 63 kWh battery (59 kWh net). Both models reach a top speed of 160 km/h.

Unparalleled Range and Performance

For those seeking more power, the Elroq 85 and 85x variants are sure to impress. With a substantial 82 kWh battery (77 kWh net), these models generate 286 hp (210 kW) and 299 hp (220 kW) respectively. The 85x variant even features an electric motor on both the rear and front axles, providing four-wheel drive. Both versions reach a top speed of 180 km/h and offer an impressive range of over 560 km on a full charge.

Charging the Elroq is both fast and convenient. All models support both AC (11 kW) and DC fast charging. The Elroq 85 and 85x can fast charge up to 175 kW, allowing for a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 28 minutes.

Designed for Practicality and Comfort

Despite being 15 cm shorter than the Enyaq, the Elroq doesn’t compromise on space. The SUV measures approximately 4.5 meters in length, offering ample room for passengers and cargo. The luggage compartment holds 470 liters, which can be expanded to 1,580 liters with the rear seats folded down. True to Skoda’s tradition, the Elroq features abundant practical storage solutions throughout the cabin, totaling 48 liters.

The Elroq’s design prioritizes aerodynamics with a slightly sloping roofline ending in a roof spoiler, contributing to a low drag coefficient of 0.26. The wheels, ranging from 19” to 21”, are also aerodynamically optimized.

Embracing Modern Solid Design

The Elroq is Skoda's first electric vehicle to feature the new Modern Solid design, characterized by simplicity, spaciousness, and clean lines. The front of the Elroq showcases the Tech-Deck Face, a sleek reinterpretation of the classic Skoda radiator grill, now presented as dark glass concealing the car’s sensors. This design element was first seen on the Vision 7S concept car.

Inside, the Elroq continues the Modern Solid theme with a 5” digital cockpit and a 13” center console screen, ensuring ease of use and a clean, uncluttered look. Additionally, the car offers an optional head-up display with Augmented Reality visualization, enhancing the driving experience.
