Introducing Lifestyle For Tech

Hi Everyone,

My name is Orpheus and I'm a full-stack engineer. I happen to see myself as a hardworking person and as a result, I barely have time for myself or my social life, likewise, a lot of people fall under this category. I have some exciting travel experience outside Nigeria, which includes, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana and UAE(Dubai & Abu Dhabi), but that was a long time ago and ever since then it has been work work work...

I have always wanted to travel and explore other parts of the world, and as an individual in tech, especially in my sector, you can't just wake up and hit the road like you don't have things to take care of. There is also a cost factor to think off... there is a lot I want to talk about, especially on how travelling and sightseeing can help one's mental health, relieve stress and many more... but I don't want to preach and I think everyone should experience it for themselves.

I decided to create a community called Lifestyle For Tech for people in tech or tech enthusiasts who like me barely have time for travelling and even if there was time, there was also cost and many other things that travelling in a group would make better. The aim is to travel to at least two countries yearly, create a favourable cost for everyone to explore these destinations and more...

Personally, I prefer spending a million naira exploring a new culture than spending that amount on liquor and painkillers.

One great advantage we would have is the ability to apply to other visa restricted countries as a company/group and we'd get those tourist visas easily vs applying individually. I can't stress the benefits enough and I'd keep it short for now.

You may be wondering why tech 🤔, yea I decided purely tech individuals or tech enthusiasts at least because I don't want a case of people getting lost in conversations and feeling left out when topics start swinging towards our niche. That doesnt mean a non tech personnel can't be part of the experiences, but such person should atleast know what he/she/they are getting into 😄.

We are currently made up of 4 team members which include me Orpheus, Osato Letoya Ojo, Mercy Ikpe and Mfonobong Umondia (Bella). We hope you guys would be interested in building this community with us 🙏🙏.
