The movie Intimacy is an international effort at making a movie. There are many different countries involved in the production of this movie. The countries that made this movie are France, the United Kingdom, and Spain. There is also a soundtrack featuring song from the 1970’s and 1980’s from these countries. The movie is based on stories by the author Hanif Kureishi with gave the novel the same title. This film has many sex scenes that are real. There was no simulation in the production. The actors in the movie are Mark Rylace and Kerry Fox. In the French version of the movie the voices are performed by actors Jean-Hugues Anglade and Nathalie Richard. The film is associated with the New French Extremity organization as a top picture. The movie is based on a bartender named Jay who is down on his luck. Jay was abandoned by his family and his wife left him. She has lost interest in resuming a relationship with Jay. She left him and took and his sons and moves out. He find himself living alone in a house that is in bad conditions. His wife considered him to be cold and distant. He starts a sexual relationship with a women whose name he does not even know. The relationship is physical in nature. They have sex and speak very little once their session has ended. After some time Jay falls in love with this woman. Jay follows this women throughout London. He also follows her to work where he finds out she is an actress at a local theatre pub. He also finds out other information about this girl. Her name is Claire and she has a husband and a son with him. This makes Jay think about his own family that he misses. He decides to end the relationship with Claire even though he wants her. The two have sex one final time and has this time they have the passion like they have not felt before. This movie has an interesting storyline but is not for the faint of heart. The sex scenes do get intense at times. The movie was ranked number ninety one on the Slant Magazine best films since the year 2000. Intimacy has also won several awards. Kerry Fox has won the Silver Bear Best Actress award for her performance in this movie. Intimacy won the Golden Bear for the Best Film in 2001.
