Interview with Tyc Austin Young, the leader of the Free TON Africa SG

MOVETON

I interviewed Austin Yong Tyc, who is the leader of the Free TON Africa Group. Yong is a visionary leader in cryptocurrency, especially in Free TON, where he leads the Africa community. He and other leaders have worked together to draft the Africa Free TON Sub-governance, which was recently approved. Also, Mr. Yong is currently organizing and leading the hackathon in Africa to help student developers. It was interesting to hear from Mr. Yong how his crypto journey began, and what led him to form the Africa Free TON community. I admire his leadership style and his zeal to working as a team in promoting Free TON in Africa and globally.

Timothy: My name is Timothy. I am from Kenya. I learned about Free TON from John Kanyiri. Do you know him?

Yong Tyc: Yes, I know him. He's my friend.

Timothy: I have not yet participated much in the activities and competitions of Free TON because I have not yet taken any definite role. I started to get interested in cryptocurrency in 2017, when my friend Luke introduced me to Bitcoin. But I was a student at the time, and I didn't have the money to invest. I started my acquaintance with cryptocurrency to build my career in this field in the future. So let's get to know each other, tell me about you.

Yong Tyc: I studied statistics. I started my acquaintance with the financial world in Forex in 2016. I started my acquaintance with cryptocurrency in 2017. Cryptocurrencies were like the hype in 2017, as you know. There have been many ICOs this year. I was interested in both areas - traditional trading and cryptocurrency, In 2019, I chose the crypto market. Since cryptanalysis was not yet developed by then, it was easy to apply trading technologies in crypto. There were many ups. You could buy different cryptocurrencies and watch how it jumps up and down, etc.

Timothy: It's interesting. I was interested in Forex and crypto and did not concentrate on one thing in the beginning. What are the pros and cons you can tell about crypto during your acquaintance with them?

Yong Tyc: The disadvantages of this is that there were a lot of Hypes. For example, ICO in which there were many people, for example, they could make a profit of 1000% on pumps. For example, you bought a coin when it was already at the maximum of its price and then abruptly fell down and you lost money. But the advantages were precisely in the fact that you felt that here I am and I now belong to the crypto world. Crypto gives a sense of belonging to something greater. This is its beauty. It gives an opportunity.

Timothy: But what about the minuses, downturns concerning this? They should be, and I never understood the crypt to the end, there are many coins, such as Bitcoins, etc., but when they fly up and down and fall back and forth by 90%, it is not clear how this happens.

Yong Tyc: It doesn't look exactly like that. This is the reason they do not have a solid foundation, let's look at the market cap of many currencies and understand that this market is not regulated in any way, such as the company's shares.

Timothy: Let's talk why you are in Free TON

Yong Tyc: I found out that there will be a partnership with Telegram. I started looking about it, and I don't remember the site where I read about it, but I read that it is planned to develop DEX in Free TON. Now I know that it is a community project, and I want to participate and develop. I found a group in a telegram about Free TON and started looking into it.

Timothy: Now when you are one of the leaders of Free TON Africa, can you tell us what are you planning to do? What projects in Free TON are you planning and the future of Africa Free TON.

Yong Tyc: Free TON in Africa is now an emerging subgroup, and we are looking for partnerships such as student developers. We are organising a hackathon for student developers. They will be able to develop applications based on the Free TON blockchain. In this way, we will bring value to the Free TON. Then we will deal with partnerships, as we are waiting for full-fledged sub-governance. I look at Africa and see that it has its own goals and objectives within the blockchain. I think many countries need to have their own subgroup in Free TON. Before proposing the creation of African sub-governance, I looked at the existing problems in the country and realised that they could be solved in Free TON. Africa can share its experience with the rest.

Timothy: It's wonderful. You're talking about developers who can bring different solutions to Free TON. Maybe you can tell us about the solutions you have for Free TON that can be applied in Africa or worldwide.

Yong Tyc: Speaking of Africa, Free TON in Africa is unique, the crypto world depends on developers, so there are many reasons they should be in Free TON. Therefore, smart contracts are needed in the C ++ Solidity language, so if developers come to build their projects, it will bring great value to the project. The integration of fast transactions in Africa is also important. Everyone can get coins from contests, and this is a great opportunity to participate, which is provided by a truly decentralized network. This is a real community project, not a regular ICO.

Timothy: What I love most about Free TON is that people can participate and receive crystal rewards for it. In 2021, we will have a lot of new members in the community. What can you tell new members to motivate them to participate in the community?

Yong Tyc: Firstly, I would like to say that they do not have the ability to develop various applications and use various services and all the blockchain capabilities for this. All they are doing now is centralized applications, while blockchain-based development is decentralized applications, and they have no way to get feedback from the entire community. Also did something cool, they can get a reward in crystals if their designs bring value.

Timothy: Fantastic. Talking about Free TON, is Free TON a blockchain? (humor)

Yong Tyc: Yes Free TON is a blockchain.

Timothy: Thanks for allowing me to interview you. I know you are busy as the free TON leader in Africa, but you took the time to do it. Let's collaborate further and exchange ideas for Free TON development in Africa and show others that we can do something big.

Yong Tyc: Africa and the whole world are developing, and we can use what Free TON offers and become truly decentralized in the world. After all, everything you develop in Free TON will become available worldwide, and Africa has something to offer everyone.
