Interview with CEO Hero Node Guoping Liu

Hi everyone!

We had an AMA with Liu Guoping, CEO of Heronode. Unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to make video interview, but anyway there are some Q&A.

Read and enjoy!

P.S. this is exclusively for Razor team (for us) !

Tell us please about yourself, how did you come to blockchain?

I am Liu Guoping, the founder of the hero node. I used to do development in the Internet industry for more than 10 years, and I'm also a serial entrepreneur. I worked for NEC communications, Wind Information which is the Chinese Bloomberg, the 9th city, which it's the game company that remove Vitalik's game skill 'Life Siphon'.

My former career is in Dianrong, which is the Chinese LendingClub and rated at KPMG's Top 50. Actually, Dianrong involved into blockchain area with many resources. Also Dianrong current has blockchain patent ranking 39th in the world, and among which there are also my patent. This is why I got involved in the blockchain business, but I was fascinated by the blockchain since 2016. I was looking for a technology that made the frontend developers more independent, and then I found Ethereum. I think it is very interesting, so I spent all my time in the blockchain development industry, all in the blockchain.

Tell us about your product, what are you making it for?

All the things Hero Node does is to develop Dapp. When we convert the current Mobile App to Dapp, we will encounter many problems, such as backend services, storage, frontend decentralization and so on.

What did Hero Node do to help develop Dapp?

First, the integration of the public chain, there are two purposes of integration, the first is to reduce the developer's difficulty through repackaging the API/SDK, the second is because the theory of CAP, there can never be a public chain will have all the advantages, We need to integrate the public chain to provide various services for Dapp. We integrate the public chain through the node service, and we also integrate decentralized storage services based on IPFS.

Second, cross-platform development framework, this is a mature platform that we have developed for many years, it has been widely used. Now we have integrated cross-chain services in the platform.

Third, with the above two functions, we also need to have decentralized nodes to provide services for the application, and this is the most important point of this project, the blockchain algorithm itself determines that it has no way to reward the full node, but with the fast growth of blockchain and DApp, full nodes are required for developers and users. If a full node is to be a centralized service, the blockchain will become a centralized network. Therefore, Hero Node is a very important component of the entire decentralized ecosystem.

Why Hero node is better than others? Who are the competitors of Hero node?

Both Hero Node and EOS are trying to serve the Dapp development, but as you can see that we have taken a completely different direction. Hero Node prefers to be completely decentralized, so it integrates some public chains rather than create a all-round chain. In frontend decentralization, Hero Node and IPFS are very similar, but we are not DWeb, but help developers to deliver the real DApp. Also in incentives part we are not the same with FileCoin. If interested in that, I recommend everyone to read the post I wrote on Medium, One about The EOS, and One about the IPFS.

We can't help but ask. A question that concerns the community. Remove all doubts and answer the question, why were outgoing transactions from the wallet, which is the collection of funds from investors?

I am very grateful to the community’s fans for reminding me of this. They contacted me and asked why I had moved the money in the account when the crowdsale did not reach the soft cap. I responded to him. Indeed, before I boarded the Malaysia Airlines flight to Singapore, I entered the money into the exchange. After six hours, I returned the original address from the exchange. One day later I received a reminder from the community's fans. I told him that I would find a safer way to keep this account safe. Some of the money was transferred back to the original address. Some people did not pass KYC and signed an agreement to transfer the money to the address. We all returned the Ethers back.

What stage of development your project is in now?

We almost finished the integration parts of some public chains, and we have some Demo on our web page. For the Node development and deployment part, we are still working on it. When we confirm that our node code is OK, we will publish to Github and open the running node rewards program, this is our second stage, the third stage is we will use our own public chain and the consensys to rewards miners.

May you name those invest funds now, that already invested in Hero node?

Sure. But there are also some investment institutions that are not willing to publicly announce their investments.

Which of the real businesses will be the first to use your product?

Which could be fount on our website, there are already a lot of Dapps under development. The first one that is most likely to be released first is a decentralized blog, which we call it Hero Blog.
