696.eth: I'm 696 A regular average person Just a curious person Happened to come across bitcoin and then ethereum and many more projects and then NFTs I like some specific tech and some people with the right intensions, skills and understandings of the power of decentralization combined with this new tech and how much choice it can give and how it can hopefully impact the world and humanity for the better
Murphy: How did you feel about the idea of going in the direction of Web3? Were there any doubts?
696.eth: There was no web3 when I got into crypto. I'd say my actual web3 journey has begun relatively recently, in the last 1-2 years. There's doubt in terms of what I'm specifically choosing to do as I'm too curious and trying to be versed in many things to have some basic understanding and versatility. But there's no doubts about web3 no matter whether it ends up succeeding or failing.
Murphy: Immediately a question arises, how long do you think will still be relevant nft\web3
696.eth: I wish I knew. I have no idea. My assumption is that it's not going to go away, it's going to keep growing. It's just whatever we have now might not exist in the future in the current state, and I'd hope it would change as we keep progressing.
Murphy: Do you think people can secure their lives with just web art?
696.eth: Secure themselves financially? I don't think so and that's the same with art in non web3 too. Majority of artists are not going to be able to make enough right now and only a few would be able to make a decent living off of it.
Murphy: Now well developed direction p2e games. How do you think it's just a dabble or a real way to make money?
696.eth: I don't know much about p2e games to give a legitimate answers. I'd guess it depends on a project. I'm assuming lots of teams/projects focus on it the 'wrong' way but not prioritizing the user, thus it looks more like a cash grab to me. I do know some people who work in those areas and I'm glad to know that some have the long-term vision and trying to build around a different perspective by making it fun for the user first while still having strong tokenomics. And I'm hoping that more and more people commit to some form of long term vision by focusing on products being used rather than creating projects in a ponzi like way
Murphy: And tell us what you have managed to do for yourself and the community since you've been in this field. Who have you met?
696.eth: I've discovered for myself a space full of possibilities and opportunities to learn and grow. I don't think what I've really done for Ethereum and the community but I've been with @EVMavericks since the beginning cause I was lurking @EthfinanceR and qualified for the mint. I do really align with those people on the values of decentralization, education, public goods and cultivating a healthy supportive community. You can find my previous EVMavericks weekly recaps and Ethfinance Weekly Doots threads as well as many other threads that focus on educational pieces. All of those can be found thru http://696.eth.limo I've met many various wonderful people from the different parts of the world.
Murphy: Is the scam in the NFT real? have you ever encountered such a thing? and how?
696.eth: Yes, the same like in the other parts of the world, scams in NFTs exist too and are very real. I have fallen for a few small scams here and there myself. I've been doing my best to educate and remind people about the security and best practices. There's many various scams so it's important to be vigilant and practice good security.
Murphy: Great! What are your future plans in the nft?
696.eth: Learn, learn, learn. Educate, educate, educate. Share, help and connect with people. Make some profit too.
Murphy: Great! And what can you advise beginners?
696.eth: Not your keys - not your coins; Use a hardware wallet; Avoid using ANY leverage; Do not all-in; Have emergency funds; Do not marry crypto; Time in the market > timing the market; It's a marathon not a race; Bonus:be Curious, explore the space, learn about Tech
