International Shooting Federation Encourages Armenia to Participate in Azerbaijan World Championships

Armenia announced its boycott of the World Championships, citing security concerns and political relations with Azerbaijan.

ISSF plans to permit the participation of Armenian athletes if they express their intention to participate even after the deadline for participation in the competition has passed.

About 1,200 players from 101 countries will participate in this tournament, which will start on the 17th and continue until the 1st of next month.

Athletes from Russia and Belarus can participate in the competition as neutral countries, but must prove that they were not involved in any military operations during the war in Ukraine.
