Installing Games on Jailbroken PS4 (DirectPackageInstaller) [Current Detailed Instructions]

I finally got around to writing instructions for installing PKG format games on a Jailbroken PS4. How does this guide differ from the previous one? The process has become simpler, more convenient, and you no longer need to install Remote PKG Installer on the PS4, everything works without it. Most importantly, it's stable. While Remote PKG Sender V2 sometimes had issues and disconnections during transfer, this method always works reliably and without failures.

Another great thing about this program is that it's also available on Android and MacOS. I'll be demonstrating using a Windows PC, but the process is similar everywhere.

Let's get started:

1) First, make sure your PC and PS4 are connected to the same local network, for example, to the same router. In my case, both are connected to the same router via Ethernet cable and are on the same local network.

2) Download DirectPackageInstaller for Windows x64 from here, or you can download it directly from the official GitHub.

3) You don't need to find out your IP address beforehand, the program will automatically detect your console's current IP address upon launch (again, they must be on the same local network). But just in case, here's where you can find it: Go to PS4 network settings and look for the local IP address: Settings —> Network —> View Connection Status. We are interested in the IP address, remember it.

4) You must have GoldHEN active, and in its settings, FTP Server and BinLoader Server must be enabled. To enable them, go to: GoldHEN —> Server Settings ✅ Enable FTP Server ✅ Enable BinLoader Server

5) Launch the DirectPackageInstaller application - DirectPackageInstaller.Desktop.exe. After launching, the program will detect your PS4's IP address itself and prompt you to select it; agree.

6) Next, we need to open the PKG file we want to install on the PS4. To do this, click on "Open" and select your PKG file.

7) Then click on "Load". The file data and cover art will load (this is another advantage of this program; you can examine the details of the file you are about to install more thoroughly beforehand). After that, click "Install". The process of preparing and sending the file to the PS4 begins. Eventually, you will see the message "Package Sent!" which means the file has been successfully sent and the installation process should now begin.

8) On the PS4 screen, it will say "Payload received from", indicating the process has started. The next message will be "Added to [Downloads]", and the download and installation progress will be visible in the notifications.

That's all! You just need to wait for the process to finish and enjoy the game.
