**Guide to Installing the DarkMatter App on Amazon Firestick**
**Step 1: Prepare Your Firestick for Installation**
1. **Turn on your Firestick** and go to the main menu by pressing the **Home** button on your remote.
2. **Select “Settings”** (the gear icon) at the far right of the menu.
3. Scroll and choose **My Fire TV**.
4. In the menu that appears, click on **Developer Options**.
5. **Turn ON “Apps from Unknown Sources”** by selecting it and choosing "Turn On" when prompted. This allows you to install apps that are not from the Amazon App Store.
_(Note: If you see "Install unknown apps" instead of "Apps from Unknown Sources," select it and turn it on for the Downloader app in a later step.)_
**Step 2: Remove Any Existing DarkMatter Apps**
1. From the **Home Screen**, select **Settings** (the gear icon).
2. Scroll down and select **Applications**.
3. Select **Manage Installed Applications**.
4. Find any previously installed **DarkMatter** apps.
5. Select the DarkMatter app and choose **Uninstall** to remove the old version.
**Step 3: Install the Downloader App**
1. Go back to the **Home Screen** by pressing the Home button.
2. Use the search function by selecting the **magnifying glass** in the top-left corner.
3. Type **Downloader** in the search bar.
4. When the Downloader app appears in the search results, select it.
5. Click on **Download** or **Get** to install the Downloader app.
6. Once downloader installed press home go to settings, my fire TV, developer options, install unknown apps and ensure downloader is set to on.
7. Open Downloader.
**Step 4: Download and Install the New DarkMatter App**
1. In the Downloader app, you will see a field that says **“Enter a URL”** or **“Enter a code”**.
2. Type in the code **8270569** and press **Go**.
3. Wait for the DarkMatter app to download.
4. Once the download is complete, a prompt will appear. Select **Install** to install the app.
**Step 5: Log In to the DarkMatter App**
1. Once the installation is finished, select **Open** to launch the DarkMatter app.
2. The app will prompt you to enter a **login code**. Please enter **ZXA084**.

3. After entering the login code, you will be prompted to enter your **username and password**.
⚠️ **Please note that all usernames and passwords are case-sensitive**, so make sure you enter them exactly as provided.
4. Once you have entered your credentials, press **Login** to access the app.
**Step 6: Recommended – Install Background Apps and Processes App**
1. To help manage apps running in the background, go back to the **Home Screen** and search for the **Background Apps and Processes** app.
2. Install it by selecting **Download** or **Get**.
3. Open the app once it’s installed, and you can now see which apps are running in the background and close any unnecessary ones. This will help keep your Firestick running smoothly
