Ingress Resistance Egypt

The Egyptian Resistance created their logo, their inspiration being the image of the pharaoh Tutankhamun, a young pharaoh that reigned over ancient Egypt and had his tomb discovered practically intact in 1922.

The idea of making a symbol for the Egyptian Resistance emerged on the first semester of 2013, when the game was still in its first year and the agent community had just started to organize itself. United, they discussed how to merge the key, symbol of the Resistance, with their country's history. In the end, they agreed on the idea of the pharaoh Tutankhamun holding the Ankh (an ancient element of the Egyptian culture related to eternal life) in one hand, and the Resistance key in the other, exalting the integration of life values represented by the battle against the Shapers. Agents @Metwally and @Simons were the ones responsible for the commission of the logo in June of the same year.

The Egyptian Resistance has a unique gesture to represent their union, which they simply call "the stance", crossing their arms on their chests in reference to their logo:

And those who have watched Black Panther, don't be fooled! This stance has been used by Egypt's smurfs way before the movie.

The "stance" is so iconic that even agents from other countries have made their homages as a sign of friendship:

This logo has even been complimented by John Hanke, one of the protagonists in Ingress lore, and Joe Philley, late former Niantic community manager.
