Ingress Auctions - How to bid
InvestigateXMEach auction will start with a starting bid. To place a bid, you'll simply need to write your bid as a comment under the post of the item that is getting auctioned off. If someone has already placed a bid, you must reply to their comment. Check which currency the auction is held in, some may be in Euro while others might be US Dollars.
If possible, please reply to the highest bidder so that they get notified that they got outbid. In the same vain, as you don't get automatic notifications from new comments, check in every now and then to see if you have been outbid.
Do not edit your messages! If a bid is edited, I'll check in the edit log what the prior bid was or, if more than 48 hours have passed, the bid will be invalidated and you will be muted for a week. During that time, you cannot bid or place auctions. Should the same thing happen a second time, the mute will be extended to a month. After that, a third infraction will mean a permanent ban which means you will not be able to bid or place auctions anymore.
Do not delete your messages! You should be certain that you want to bid the amount that you comment. If you delete your bid and don't honor it, you will be muted for a month and cannot bid or place an auction during that time. If the same thing happens again, you will be permanently banned and you will not be able to bid or place auctions anymore.
Once the auction is closed, the agent responsible for the item will contact you to arrange payment and shipping if needed.
You and the Agent that placed the auction are responsible for figuring out payment and delivery/shipping yourselves. The auction channel only acts as a place to easily conduct auctions within Telegram and is not responsible for collecting the payment and delivering the item.
This also means that you should proceed with due diligence when you are paying your bid. If you don't trust the Agent that placed the auction, ask them for vouches from other Agents or other proof that establish them as legitimate. This should be done especially for rare items such as numbered Biocards or rare badges.
Agents can bid on multiple things at the same time.
