Indicator Number of addresses

Indicator Number of addresses

1. Total number of addresses - indicates how many addresses of a token have ever been registered.

2. Number of addresses with non-zero balance - addresses which have a number of tokens other than zero. This parameter is more important than the previous one. After all, it indicates the token holders who own it at the moment. Usually the number of addresses with a non-zero balance is much smaller than the total number. This difference decreases during a bull market and increases during a bear market. Looking over the long term, a quality project should have this parameter increasing all the time.

3. Number of addresses with zero balance - these are addresses that once owned a token, but now their balance is 0.

Total number of addresses = total addresses with balance + total addresses with zero balance

It should be noted that the number of addresses does not equal the number of people. Often there are situations where one owner has several addresses on different wallets, for example, for security purposes. Or several people's funds may be stored in the same address. If you look at Etherscan, you will often find an address called, for example, Binance or Kucoin. These are the addresses of exchanges, where thousands of users' funds are accumulated.
