Sibling incest is defined as sexual behavior between siblings. Some researchers suggest that siblings who share a sexual relationship should have one or two parents in common. Sibling incest is widely believed by researchers to be the most common type of incest. On the other hand, it was considered in earlier studies that incest was less than parent-child incest, and sometimes even described as just sexual experimentation. Sibling incest should never be dismissed as child’s play. The relationship between siblings is known to outlast many other relationships.
Edward Westermarck is a professor of sociology at the University of London . Westermark states children who live closely together from childhood do not experience erotic feelings towards one another. Persons who have been living closely together from childhood are ruled as near relatives. In addition, Westermarck proposed that unrelated children, even brought up together show an absence of erotic feelings.
Sigmund Freud wrote the book Totem and Taboo . In this book, Freud shares his vision of the human “horde.” In this horde, the father seeks to dominate all females and keep them for himself. The father does this by driving away his sons who could be potential sex partners to his females. Freud felt that religion is fueled by the repressed sexual desires of children of their opposite parent. Freud asserted that children, especially boys go through a horde period. As children who attracted sexually towards their parents, their feelings are repressed by the taboo. Guilt then becomes associated with these desires. The children grow with these repressed feelings into adulthood where they become motivation towards their actions. Freud states there is no natural tendency for sexual avoidance between a parent and their child because if there were the incest taboo wouldn’t be necessary.
The family environment is a network in which the behavior of one individual affects everyone else within the family. This is considered a subsystem. Family members need to be strong for one another. If they are not, the family system starts to break down and violence occurs. Sibling incest should not be seen as an individual problem but rather, a problem that was manifested by the whole family. Tidefors introduced a study investigating 25 families in which sibling incest had occurred. These families showed a common pattern of family dynamics. Both parents were unreachable. The fathers were dead, or had left their families after the birth of the child. The mothers were inaccessible c due to a drug addiction, alcoholism. or mental illness. Further, families whos’ parents weren’t divorced engaged in extramarital affairs and exposing children to a sexual climate. Family dynamics regulate where incest could transpire in the family environment.
Tidefors and the other authors suggest that many studies point to neglect as an underlying dimension of sibling incest. They agree an older sibling is using a younger sibling to satisfy emotional needs, rather than a need for sexual gratification. For example, everyone in a sibling offender group had younger siblings in their home, compared to eight of 28 in a non-sibling group. This is not surprising, because the common pattern in sibling incest is that the offender is the older and the victim is the younger sibling. There appears to be the need of a younger sibling “to make” a sibling offender.
There are three factors that determine the reactions to an incestuous relationship: severity, duration, and the family reaction to the abuse. Victims of sexual abuse experience long-term difficulties including psychological, sexual, and relationship problems. Victims of incest have many feelings, emotions, and issues to deal with in order to cope with the abuse they experienced. Victims of sibling incest exhibit a wide variety of psychological problems. Sexual sibling abuse creates fear, anger, shame, humiliation, and guilt. Along with those feelings, victims can also have severe depression and feelings of helplessness. Sometimes those feelings can lead to suicidal thoughts, and sex addiction. It is not rare to see victims of incest have significant difficulties in personal relationships.

The first time I caught them was innocent enough. My daughter was straddling him in the basement family room with the lights out and a movie playing. I was coming down the stairs when I stopped and saw their silhouettes outlined by the light of the TV. As my eyes adjusted I could tell she was grinding on him as they kissed, so I stayed out trying to decide what to do. They were adults who were in the grand scheme of things doing nothing harmful.
Even this early I felt a pang of confusion. To hear my daughter’s breathing, to see her tremble and whisper for him not to stop, I knew she was close. The fact he could’ve pushed for more and she would have obliged yet he didn’t made me know she was safe. And so as I watched, I tried to get the feelings of wanting him out of my head. I wasn’t jealous, just a concerned mother.
So I went back upstairs and left them to their own devices.
As they began to spend more time together, it became apparent he did his best to respect our family and home. The family was deeply religious, conservative, and relatively old fashioned. My daughter came up through a local perocial school, and every chance she had, she lived up to the Catholic school reputation.
She lived at home while in school and I had imposed a rule starting he could come to the house, but I was thrilled with her hanging around at his place. Part of it was an overprotective mother who despite having an adult daughter, still very much saw her as a child. The second half was that I genuinely enjoyed his company.
And like a teenager, any moment she thought they were alone she clung to him. She was particularly aggressive in her make out sessions when her father wasn’t around.

I was planning on putting this in a Frozen sideblog but I don't have time to make one, but I want to share something I noticed: When Anna first meets Olaf, Olaf still doesn’t have a nose, and most know a snowman isn’t complete without a perfect carrot nose. Olaf, representing Elsa’s love, therefore is not complete when he is first created during Let It Go where Elsa is running away from Anna. However, Anna gives Olaf his nose and completes Olaf, making him into a “true” snowman. This implies -C-
A modern AU where Elsa is deaf, but Anna doesn't know when they meet, so she ends up talking to Elsa for a while, not realizing that Elsa can't hear her. Elsa just watches her with a puzzled look on her face as she tries to read Anna's lips, but she's talking too fast. Eventually, Elsa has to explain, using a piece of paper and a pen (since Anna doesn't know sign language.) to tell her that she's deaf. Anna comes back a week later with a book on sign language so she can talk to Elsa.

Elsa thinks her powers are useless, especially when she'd done everything and anything to protect Anna and it all backfired seeing as how her powers caused Anna's death. so she admires Anna for saving and protecting her while on the verge of becoming a popsicle because Anna is human and she'd done it all without powers. Elsa wishes she were human and brave and heroic like Anna sometimes.
Modern AU where Anna and Elsa meet in college and become friends (while falling for each other) but Anna is always rushing home and doesn't hang around campus and when Elsa finally asks why, Anna tells her it's because she has a 4 year old daughter at home.
After Anna displays considerable enthusiasm for swordfighting (all those stories she read might have had something to do with that), Elsa arranges for her to receive some fencing lessons. After a few weeks, she checks her progress with the fencing master. Turns out, the man's somewhat scared of Anna: what with the way she veers between clumsy, clever and just plain lucky, she's actually a formidable and utterly unpredictable opponent.
Hogwarts au : actually both girls should have been in hufflepuff, but coming from a noble pureblood family, elsa begs the hat to put her in slytherin, in order to soothe her parents's concerns and so that they will be more lenient on anna. Two years after the hat is stalling on Anna and she asks it to put her in Gryffindor because Hufflepuff has no common classes with the Slytherin whereas Gryffindor shares half of theirs and maybe, that way, she could see Elsa a tiny bit more. that Anna is the only one that can complete Elsa, especially considering the fact that Sven, representing Kristoff, tries to snatch this carrot away. Kristoff would not have given Olaf a carrot; only Anna had that idea, and only Anna can complete Elsa’s love.
A friend of my family used to teach sign language to non-deaf people. She once coached this guy through a whole speech he was giving to an entirely deaf audience.
Issue: the signs for “very” and “fucking” are basically the same motion, just reversed based on which one you pick. The speech started out with “I am very happy to be here today.” and the guy was super nervous. Yeah. Whoops. Now just take that idea. But replace it with Anna and an Elsanna writer.
