Ji So-yeon won the Midfielder of the Year and the Help Award at the 2023 Korea Women's Football Federation Awards held at Olympic Parktel in Bangi-dong, Seoul on the 14th.
Ji So-yeon, who made her WK League debut last season after moving from Chelsea Women (England) to Suwon, won the midfielder award for the second consecutive season.
Ji So-yeon shared the ball with her teammates and officials and said, "This year, the women's national soccer team held many big competitions, but it's a shame that we didn't get good results."
Ji So-yeon added, "In order for the national team to be strong, it has to be strong from the WK League. To do that, I hope all the players do their best."
Ji So-yeon, who had six assists in 18 games this season and won an assist award, said, "I regrettably lost to Hyundai Steel in Incheon (in the second round of the championship game). I am angry at the thought of the second round," adding, "I hope everyone will join forces to bring Incheon down from the throne next year."
