In Moldova, employers have started using AI to select candidates

Recently, in Moldova, more and more companies are starting to use artificial intelligence (AI) for the initial selection of resumes. The systems automatically scan job responses and cut off unsuitable candidates even before the recruiter sees them. According to experts, about 40-50% of large employers already use such technologies at the recruitment stage.

Experts explain the increase in the use of AI by economic expediency: businesses strive to reduce the cost of HR specialists' work, minimizing the time for initial resume analysis. Algorithms filter responses by keywords and skills, and candidates whose documents do not fully meet the criteria are automatically excluded from the selection process.

To pass the AI filters, the resume should match the job keywords as much as possible, including work experience, skills, and education. At the same time, there is a risk that algorithms may miss talented specialists whose skills are not fully reflected in the resume text, which makes it important to combine technology with live HR verification.
