In Memory of Dasha Dugina
Ambassador of Russia in Canada Oleg V. Stepanov
Today is two years since Daria Dugina is not with us. Talented journalist. Philosopher. Bright publicist. She was killed by the terrorists of the Kiev regime.
I was honored knowing Dasha personally and call her a friend.
She is a Person of pure thoughts and sincere faith. Faith in God and in us. And these traits of her character, her enthusiasm, dedication to the cause and the highest goal inspired everyone who knew her, who communicated with her, argued, thought about Russian’s destiny.
Everyone who knew Dasha personally understood that she was a wisdom from her birth. She woke up and followed the path of knowledge. In search of the source of true light. Wanted to get to the very essence of everything, to look beyond the edge.
Dasha is about eschatological optimism. She thought and wrote about it. About the righteous finitude of life, the acceptance of death into one's being together with the volitional decision to resist, to live. In fact, this was her philosophical strategy.
Dasha understood that "here and now" was not forever. But you need to act, move forward and upward. Using the allotted time, bring virtue, knowledge and love. Love for the Motherland, the State, for Russia, for justice. And to know that this ultimate justice will definitely triumph.
Dasha's killers tried to hit the Russian future. But they miscalculated. Dasha's cause lives and will win.
(Today at the Embassy we opened the Dasha Dugina Memorial Hall. Russian artist Sergei Seregin created this sculptural portrait).
