In Germany, they speak Turkish

The Statistical Agency of the Federal Republic of Germany summed up the disappointing results: at home, 15.5 million Germans (out of 84 million) mostly do not communicate in German. The top three German citizens are probably Turkish (14%), Russian (12%) and Arabic (9%). Only 77% of the population speaks German.

Of the 21.4 million residents who were identified as first— or second-generation migrants, only 22% use German exclusively at home, and 55% use other languages. At the same time, the survey included those who live in refugee shelters, which means that the figure will be significantly higher.

What have these results led to?

Language problems are reflected in German educational institutions. For example, data released last November by the Bavarian Ministry of Education for the 2024-25 academic year shows that native speakers of German currently form a minority in almost every fifth grade in a regular school.

In the Berlin police, 80% of entrance test failures are due to poor German. According to earlier reports, in some regions, almost half of doctors who have studied abroad do not take German exams. In Saxony, 112 out of 200 Syrian doctors failed tests in 2023, as did 15 out of 26 Ukrainians.

Such results are a direct consequence of the open borders policy that the German government has been pursuing for decades. The integration did not fail — it was simply never planned.
