Need help deciding which color grout to use, wife and I are going crazy trying to decide. first pic is white, second grey, last picture is the actual bathroom, the toilet and vanity are white, the wall above the tile will be white as well as a white granite shelf above vanity and below window.
How old is too old to decorate with twinkle lights?
What handles look better? Black or gold?
I'm *trying* to date and I encounter this constantly. WHY is it such a big deal that I choose not to drink alcohol??

🚩This kid sounds like a douchebag. I say kid, because he sounds like a man child frat boy. If a man were to say he doesn’t drink, I WOULD ask if it was because he had problems with alcohol in the past or if it was religious, just so I would know if it would be okay to have a wine with my dinner or not (or if I wanted to move forward with the date). Any discussion beyond that before a first date is unnecessary. Definitely borderline complaining about it is a problem. If he can’t come up with something to do other than drink, I would run for the hills.
They’re just two different animals. And, keep in mind that these are alllll just generalizations and every kid is going to be different. But, in my experience, boys are more physical. They are a little more wild and do dumb stuff like yeet themselves down the stairs and laugh while girls generally are a little more concerned with their own physical well-being. Girls are sweet and cuddly when they’re small, while it’s more of a treat for your boy to sit down and snuggle. HOWEVER, as girls get bigger, they become more of an emotional/mental challenge. Girls get sassy and needy and pushy and can be mean, without even trying. 🥴 But don’t let it scare you. These really are all generalizations and stereotypes (though, ya know, in my case it’s pretty true). I wanted nothing but boys when I was younger and ended up with 3 girls and one boy, and I absolutely adore my girls. My boy is my darling, but my girls have become some of my favorite little humans. I love their little personalities and wouldn’t change them for the world. They’re funny and charming and even when we butt heads and I want to strangle them, I love that they won’t take shit in the future and that they know they have a soft place to land when it gets tough. Good luck, Momma! You can hope for anything you want to. (Plus, it’s so much more fun, dressing up little girls. Haha)
I love the green, I want to vote green, but I think the orange might look a TINY bit better. But I wouldn’t be disappointed with the green. Lol
I love the audiobook idea. I use audiobooks and fun podcasts to get out of my own head all the time, I guess I just never really thought of it as self care. Getting things accomplished also makes me feel good. Like setting a goal, “today I’m going to clean out all of the cabinets and reorganize,” and then doing it while listening to one of my podcasts. It just makes me feel like I’m doing SOMETHING to help myself out and then when I open my drawers and everything is all clean and organized, I really feel like I’ve got my life together for a second. Lol.
But what I really came here to say is meditation. 20 minutes alone, in peace, with a good guided meditation is heaven (though, let’s be honest, 20 quiet minutes is a miracle. They have a ton of them that are quick 5-10 minute sessions to just recenter). I would stick with guided until you’re good at really clearing your mind or else you’ll just sit there in silence, thinking about problems. 🥴 I’ve been dabbling in meditation for years and still haven’t mastered self meditation. But just YouTube “guided meditation” and there are a million that you might be interested in from releasing negative energy to calming to over-thinking to sleep. I’m a fan of chakra balancing and connecting to source, personally. It really helps me feel more in control but that is my own weirdo belief system. There’s a ton that aren’t “hokey” at all.
