Ihor Demyanets is a graduate of the Lysenko Lviv Higher Music Institute (now the Music Academy). Candidate of Art History. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Artistic director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Philharmonic. Founder and regent of the choir "Cantemus" of the Church of Tsar Christ of the Basilian Monastery of the UGCC, conductor of the chamber choir "Source" of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Teachers' House, member of the men's quartet "Circle" of the Central People's House.

    In October 2019 he became a laureate of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prize named after D. Sichinsky in the field of music.

  DEMIANETS Ihor Yosypovych started his musical activity at a young age, was a soloist of school ensembles and choirs. In the accordion class he studied at the music studio at the Ivano-Frankivsk House of Railwaymen and at the Ivano-Frankivsk Children's Music School яку 2, which he graduated in June 1987.

From 1987 to 1991 he studied at the Ivano-Frankivsk Music School named after D. Sichynsky at the Faculty of Choral Conducting (class of teacher V. Sydorak).

   1991-1995 - studies at the Lviv Higher Music Institute named after MV Lysenko (now the National Academy of Music) at the inpatient department of the Faculty of Choral Conducting (class of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Yuzyuk IS). In parallel with his studies at the Music Institute, he worked as a choirmaster of the faculty choir, head of the teacher's choir in the village of Solonka, Lviv region, leader of the vocal ensemble at the Lviv Mill College (1994-1995).

    From 1991 to 2006 - artist of the Drohobych Chamber Choir "Legend" (artistic director and conductor - Honored Artist of Ukraine Igor Tsyklinsky).

 From 1995 to 1996 he worked as the leader of the vocal ensemble in the folk house in the village of Pidpechary, Tysmenytsia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. From 1995 to 2001 he worked as a teacher of music and singing at Uhrynivka Secondary School of I-II grades.

    Igor Demyanets is the founder, artistic director and regent of the chamber choir "Cantemus" (from the Latin "Let's Sing") (2000) at the Church of the King of Christ of the monastery. Basilian of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

 Igor Demyanets organized and published repertoire collections: "Bishop's Service of God" (2001), "The Sacrament of Matrimony" (2004), "Christ is Risen" (2005), "Divine Liturgy" (2005), "Ukrainian Carol" (2007) , akathist “Glory to God for everything” (2008), “Prayer to the Blessed Virgin” (2009), “Prayer to Jesus the Lover of Man” (2009), “Funeral service” (2009), collection of church songs “Stanislavivska Bogoroditsa, Laskava” (2012) ), Episcopal Divine Liturgy (2018).

Igor Demyanets translated and arranged for male and mixed choirs a number of spiritual songs: "Under Your mercy", "Oh, Jehoshaphat", "Let's sing the Song of Glory", parts from the Liturgy, parastasis, Lenten songs: "Good man", " They put a cross on their shoulders ”,“ The hour is approaching ”and Ukrainian folk songs:“ Oh, I will go out to the valley ”,“ Cows were walking from the oak grove ”,“ There is a high mountain ”,“ Under the cloud ”and others.

     From 1999 to 2006 Igor Demyanets was a lecturer at the Department of Liturgical Singing and Music Teaching Methods (from 2004 to 2006 he was the head of the department) and a conductor of the male choir of seminarians at the Ivano-Frankivsk Theological Academy of the UGCC. With the choir he took an active part in the spiritual life of the city, as well as in festive services in the cities: Lviv (2000), Zarvanytsia (2000), Goshev (2001), Krekhov (2003).

     Since 2001, Igor Demyanets has been an artist of the folk male vocal quartet "Circle" (leader - Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine P. Cholovsky). The Kolo Quartet takes an active part in concert performances in front of the population of Ivano-Frankivsk, the region and abroad, including abroad (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia). He was a member of the report of creative and artistic groups of Ivano-Frankivsk region in Kyiv (2001).

     In 2010, the decision of the specialized academic council of the Lviv National Music Academy. MV Lysenko of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine on the basis of public defense of the dissertation of Demyants I.Y. awarded the degree of candidate of art history in the specialty of music.

In June 1991, the chamber choir "Galytsky peredzvony" (since 2000 - municipal) was founded at the city department of culture of Ivano-Frankivsk (conductor - Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Savchuk). Igor Demyanets worked as the choirmaster of this ensemble from 1997 to 2001, and in August 2005 he was appointed artistic director and choir conductor.

     In November 2007, Ihor Demyanets conducted a master class for conductors of the Stryi district with the Halytsky Peredzvony choir.

Since September 2010, I. Demyanets has been the conductor of the Dzherelo Chamber Choir of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Teacher’s House, which takes an active part in the creative life of the city, region and Ukraine.

Igor Demyanets is the founder and organizer of the Christmas festival "Kolyada na Maizlyakh" (Church of the Tsar Christ of the Monastery of Vasiliyan UGCC, 2010 - 2019), which was attended by more than 300 groups.

    During 2010-2012, I. Demyanets worked as the head of the department of culture and educational institutions of the Department of Culture of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration. Igor Demyanets has been working as the artistic director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Philharmonic since June 2012.

    I. Demyanets - chief choirmaster of solemn events of regional significance (more than 20 times): to the Day of Unity of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko's Birthday, Constitution Day, Independence Day of Ukraine, Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and Defender of the Fatherland, 150th anniversary of the Day the birth of Metropolitan of Halychyna Andrei Sheptytsky (2015), the 150th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Hryhoriy Khomyshyn of Stanislaviv (2017) and many others.

     Igor Demyanets has repeatedly participated in TV and radio programs: "Let's talk about music", "Room of Hope", "The main thing in detail" (OTB "Galychyna"), TRK "Karpaty", TV and radio company "Tower", radio Bells ”, West Pole Radio, Ukrainian Radio. He has repeatedly participated in the organizing committee of the All-Ukrainian Choral Music Competition named after D. Sichynsky (2003, 2005, 2007) and the International Festival of Choral Music "Peredzvin" (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008) in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Igor Demyanets was invited as an honorary guest at the festival: IV, VII, X, XI choir festival "Golden-Domed Kyiv" (Kyiv, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007), II International Festival of Choral Music "On the Waves of Stryi" ( 2008), V International Festival “East-West-Convergence” (Radomsko, Poland, 2009), XII Festival of Ukrainian Culture “Kalyna” (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, 2015).

     In 2009 he was a member of the jury of the 1st regional competition of choral conductors named after O. Nyzhankivsky in Stryy, in 2010 - chairman of the jury of the selection round of the International competition of modern religious song "Song of the Heart" in Ivano-Frankivsk, in 2012 - Jury member of the XIX International Hutsul Festival, in 2016 - XIV Children's and Youth Festival "Talents of the Galician Land" and the 23rd All-Ukrainian Festival of Contemporary Song and Popular Music "Chervona Ruta", in 2017 - the regional competition of vocal ensembles among children music schools of the region and the festival of Christ's city "Up of the heart".

     In 2018, Demyants I.Y. awarded the honorary title of "Honored Artist of Ukraine".
