If You've Just Purchased Item Upgrading ... Now What?

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance an excellently roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of the base. This is usually a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're very lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. This can increase the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult areas. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game, and to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.
You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to let you escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions is laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. As with other upgrades to items, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. You can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. more info will have the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are not needed, allowing a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for example rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
