The Sexual Dimensions Personality Test (or “Sexy Seven” Test) was developed David P. Schmitt, Ph.D. and David M. Buss, Ph.D. to measure differences in personality on seven sex-specific dimensions. Using statistical analysis, Schmitt and Buss discovered seven scales pertaining to human sexuality, all of which displayed moderate to high levels of validity and correlated well with the scientific “ Big Five ” system of personality.
What are your sexual dimensions? For each of the following items, indicate how well it describes you below.

The IDR-SDPT© is the property of IDR Labs International. The original research was provided by David P. Schmitt and David M. Buss. The original research is the property of David P. Schmitt and David M. Buss and the Journal of Research in Personality. The IDR-SDPT© is not the equivalent of any instruments authored by Schmitt or Buss.
The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test is a scientific and statistically validated instrument for measuring gender stereotypes and adversarial heterosexual beliefs in the general population. The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test does not address all possible sexual attitudes and does not purport to be exhaustive. The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test has repeatedly been shown to measure statistically significant differences in the sexual attitudes of men and women. The original research is by Schmitt and Buss is dated, yet other researchers have confirmed its findings. The statistical analyses informing the test are broadly agreed to be scientifically valid.
Although all are designed to measure personality variation with regards to sexuality, the IDR-SDPT© should not be confused with any instruments authored by Schmitt or Buss or alternative research organizations. However, all are professionally-designed personality tests (or inventories) meant for measuring personality variation with regards to sexual attitudes in the Western world. The IDR-SDPT© is the property of IDR Labs International. The original research was provided by Schmitt and Buss and published in the Journal of Research in Personality. IDRlabs developed the 6 Minute Asexuality Test (IDR-6MAT), which is built on the paper of Dr. Morag Yule, Dr. Lori Brotto, and Dr. Boris Gorzalka, who created the Asexuality Identification Scale (AIS), a 12-item assessment tool. The IDR-6MAT is not connected with any specific researchers in the field of psychology or any associated research institutions.
The IDR-6MAT was informed by the AIS’s criteria for asexuality, as published in Yule, M., Brotto, L., & Gorzalka, B. (2015). A validated measure of no sexual attraction: The asexuality identification scale. American Psychological Association, 27, 148-160. Bulmer, M., & Izuma, K. (2017). Implicit and explicit attitudes toward sex and romance in asexuals. The Journal of Sex Research, 55, 962-974.
The IDR-6MAT is a psychometrically sound self-report instrument that is useful in measuring asexuality and based on the AIS, a valid and reliable scale effective for the assessment of asexuality and for distinguishing asexual individuals from sexual individuals. Nevertheless, free online quizzes and tests such as the IDR-6MAT are merely initial assessments and cannot yield highly accurate measures of your sexuality. Therefore, this 6-minute test is meant for educational purposes only. A conclusive psychological assessment can be made only by a qualified mental health professional.
The present test renders results such as the following example: Your answers suggest a very strong indication of asexuality. You may find that you have very low interest or no interest whatsoever in sexual activity or in having sex, and/or you experience a lack of sexual attraction to anyone. You may still desire romantic relationships, but you do not feel the need to have sex. Moreover, you are likely to avoid situations in which you may be propositioned for sex and may find that sexual intimacy feels unwarranted in the context of intimate relations or connections. However, please note that tests such as this one cannot replace the judgment of an actual professional.
We, the publishers of this free online 6-Minute Asexuality Test, which allows you to screen yourself for the signs of this personality trait, have endeavored to make this tool as reliable and valid as possible by utilizing pertinent statistical controls. Still, free self-report online quizzes such as this one do not provide expert evaluations or recommendations of any kind; the IDR-6MAT is provided entirely “as-is.” For more information about any of our online tests and quizzes, please consult our Terms of Service .
1. Free. This Asexuality Test is delivered to you free of charge and will allow you to obtain your scores related to a lack of sexual attraction toward anyone or anything.

3. Made by professionals. The present test has been made with the input of people who work professionally with psychology and individual differences research.

The quiz reveals where you sit on the gay, straight, bisexual and asexual spectrum...
2019 truly blessed us with some iconic viral content. In the space of two months, the internet came up with a bucketload of hilarious memes and wild challenges . 2019 gave us everything from the legendary war of Kylie Jenner versus the egg ( a moment ) to the iconic 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' challenge ( a mess ).
The internet never sleeps and now everyone is obsessing over something completely new. It's no secret that we all love a good quiz and now IDRlabs is taking over social media with the hit " Erotic Response and Orientation Scale". Created by psychologist Michael Storms, the sexuality quiz uses science (well kind of...) to determine exactly where you sit on the gay, straight, bisexual, asexual and spectrum.
IDRlabs claims that the test was formed to "account for problems with the Kinsey Scale Test , which many found to be overly binary in its approach to sexual orientation." They also say that it includes "a more complex and less linear understanding of non-binary orientations". It is divided into four quadrants and tells you what percent gay, straight, bisexual, asexual you are. With that in mind, it's no shock it's gone viral.
For the most part people have found that it's surprisingly accurate but there have been a few complaints. Some are funny (it seems that some gay people are offended at the suggestion that they are part heterosexual) but others are major. In spite of the fact that the quiz says that it's "more complex", it still doesn't take into account the fact that people are non binary.
21% heterosexual?! This is slander! pic.twitter.com/UabgXD4Ypz
If finding women attractive because women are OBJECTIVELY beautiful makes me 14.3% straight then so be it!! pic.twitter.com/KrfRybcCYZ
Of course, no quiz can dictate your sexuality and, while this may be more accurate than other tests, it still has huge flaws.

Sapiosexuallity is the tendency to find potential partners attractive on account of their intelligence or intellectual acumen. Indeed, strong sapiosexuals consider these traits to be among the most important in a partner
Sapiosexuality is generally considered a supplemental sexual orientation . Most sapiosexuals would still describe their primary orientation as gay, straight, or bisexual, and consider their sapiosexuality more of a sub-characteristic of their orientation. Sapiosexuality can thus be thought of as an identity that lies outside the traditional binaries such as heterosexual/homosexual and male/female .
Are you a sapiosexual? For each of the following statements, indicate how well it describes you below.
I tend to become romantically attracted only after having an intellectually stimulating conversation with a potential partner.
