The Sexual Dimensions Personality Test (or “Sexy Seven” Test) was developed David P. Schmitt, Ph.D. and David M. Buss, Ph.D. to measure differences in personality on seven sex-specific dimensions. Using statistical analysis, Schmitt and Buss discovered seven scales pertaining to human sexuality, all of which displayed moderate to high levels of validity and correlated well with the scientific “ Big Five ” system of personality.
What are your sexual dimensions? For each of the following items, indicate how well it describes you below.

The IDR-SDPT© is the property of IDR Labs International. The original research was provided by David P. Schmitt and David M. Buss. The original research is the property of David P. Schmitt and David M. Buss and the Journal of Research in Personality. The IDR-SDPT© is not the equivalent of any instruments authored by Schmitt or Buss.
The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test is a scientific and statistically validated instrument for measuring gender stereotypes and adversarial heterosexual beliefs in the general population. The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test does not address all possible sexual attitudes and does not purport to be exhaustive. The Sexual Dimensions of Personality Test has repeatedly been shown to measure statistically significant differences in the sexual attitudes of men and women. The original research is by Schmitt and Buss is dated, yet other researchers have confirmed its findings. The statistical analyses informing the test are broadly agreed to be scientifically valid.
Although all are designed to measure personality variation with regards to sexuality, the IDR-SDPT© should not be confused with any instruments authored by Schmitt or Buss or alternative research organizations. However, all are professionally-designed personality tests (or inventories) meant for measuring personality variation with regards to sexual attitudes in the Western world. The IDR-SDPT© is the property of IDR Labs International. The original research was provided by Schmitt and Buss and published in the Journal of Research in Personality. The quiz reveals where you sit on the gay, straight, bisexual and asexual spectrum...
2019 truly blessed us with some iconic viral content. In the space of two months, the internet came up with a bucketload of hilarious memes and wild challenges . 2019 gave us everything from the legendary war of Kylie Jenner versus the egg ( a moment ) to the iconic 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' challenge ( a mess ).
The internet never sleeps and now everyone is obsessing over something completely new. It's no secret that we all love a good quiz and now IDRlabs is taking over social media with the hit " Erotic Response and Orientation Scale". Created by psychologist Michael Storms, the sexuality quiz uses science (well kind of...) to determine exactly where you sit on the gay, straight, bisexual, asexual and spectrum.
IDRlabs claims that the test was formed to "account for problems with the Kinsey Scale Test , which many found to be overly binary in its approach to sexual orientation." They also say that it includes "a more complex and less linear understanding of non-binary orientations". It is divided into four quadrants and tells you what percent gay, straight, bisexual, asexual you are. With that in mind, it's no shock it's gone viral.
For the most part people have found that it's surprisingly accurate but there have been a few complaints. Some are funny (it seems that some gay people are offended at the suggestion that they are part heterosexual) but others are major. In spite of the fact that the quiz says that it's "more complex", it still doesn't take into account the fact that people are non binary.
21% heterosexual?! This is slander! pic.twitter.com/UabgXD4Ypz
Of course, no quiz can dictate your sexuality and, while this may be more accurate than other tests, it still has huge flaws.

Dr. Alfred Kinsey, Dr. Wardell Pomeroy, and Dr. Clyde Martin developed the Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale, also known as the “The Kinsey Scale,” in order to account for research findings that showed that people did not fit into exclusive heterosexual or homosexual categories.
The Kinsey team interviewed thousands of people about their sexual histories. Research showed that sexual behavior, thoughts, and feelings towards the same or opposite sex were not always consistent across time.
Where do you think you fall on the Kinsey scale? Find out below.
Both men and women.
Mostly people of the opposite sex from mine.
Mostly people of the same sex as mine.
Only people of the opposite sex from mine.

The Kinsey Scale is a widely used index and instrument for measuring heterosexual and homosexual behavior. The Kinsey Scale does not address all possible sexual identities and does not purport to accommodate respondents who identify as non-binary. Contrary to popular belief, Kinsey was not a behaviorist, but granted that sexuality is much broader than simply lived behavior. The Kinsey Scale is dated, yet remains popular in many contexts. The original Kinsey Reports, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (1948) and Sexual Behavior of the Human Female (1953), are broadly agreed to be historically significant.
Although all are designed to measure heterosexual and homosexual behavior, the IDR-KST© should not be confused with other “Kinsey Scale Tests,” as authored by alternative research organizations. However, all are professionally-designed personality tests (or inventories) meant for measuring heterosexual and homosexual behavior in relation to gender roles in the Western world. The IDR-KST© is the property of IDR Labs International. The original research was provided by Dr. Alfred Kinsey, Dr. Wardell Pomeroy, and Dr. Clyde Mart.
