EXCLUSIVE: SIR IAN McKELLEN’S SHOCKING SECRET – 'I NEARLY QUIT GANDALF!'

Hollywood legend Sir Ian McKellen has sent shockwaves through Middle-earth after revealing he was this close to walking away from the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings—and the reason will leave you goblin mad!

In an explosive tell-all interview, the 84-year-old acting icon confessed that he almost turned down the part of the wise wizard, fearing he’d be 'just another old man with a beard.'

'I told Peter Jackson, ‘I don’t want to be a cliché!’' McKellen admitted. 'But then he said, ‘Ian, you’ll be THE cliché—the one all others are measured against.’ And, well… he was right.'
