IUENG WrapUp - April 2023
@IUENG
Hello Agents! Welcome to the first IUENG WrapUp, a new series of monthly posts that will summerize and wrap up all the important happenings in the Ingress universe during the last month. This will not only include official news but also SITREPs, events and more from both factions! If you have something you would like to submit for our monthly WrapUp, head over to @IUENG_Submission_bot and send us your report!
OFFICIAL NEWS
In the first section, we go over all the news that the Ingress team themselves posted on their official channels.
April 1st | North Star Medal - April Fools
As it is tradition, Niantic released their yearly April Fools prank on the Ingress News site. The new North Star Medal is a medal "designed to challenge hardcore Agents" by counting how often an Agent stands at the southern Resonator while pointing their Scanner exactly north while completing a perfect Glyph Hack. We used this opportunity to extend on Niantic's joke by designing the five tiers of the medal and by posting the image above on our channel.

Niantic has created new designs for merchandise and have made them available on Amazon via their "merch on demand" service. New items include T-Shirts, PopSockets and phone cases. These seem to be available to amazon.com (US, Australia) users only.

The long-awaited pins from the Mission Day + NL1331X event in Izmir, Turkey, are now available for pickup by agents who had previously purchased them. April 26 | The NIA misplaces NL-1331
The XM Research Vessel NL-1331 was last spotted in Jacksonville for the Echo anomaly and then disappeared without a trace. Normally, between missions, the van and it's portal is stationed at Camp Navarro in California, however this time, it went completely off the grid, taking it's portal and Agent's Portal Keys with it. It reappeared a day later and Niantic issued the passcode DRIVERC4RRIESN0XM which can be redeemed five times for one Portal Key to the van each time.
