Job Description
TUMO’s IT division is seeking a proactive, organized, and tech-savvy IT Asset Lifecycle & Service Desk Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to improve & run the IT Asset Lifecycle for our large fleet of Macs and IT assets, assisting in service desk machine builds, and driving the process of preparing, organizing, and selling decommissioned equipment. This role bridges technical operations, asset management, and revenue-generating activities, working closely with IT Infrastructure, Procurement, Communications, and Accounting teams.

Job responsibilities
Asset Management & Lifecycle
- Develop and improve IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies, lifecycle processes, and tools
- Maintain accurate tracking of IT and AV assets, performing regular inventory audits and resolving discrepancies
- Monitor asset condition, warranties, usage, and lifecycle; recommend refresh, reallocation, or disposal
- Assist cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Finance, Executive) with asset planning, budgeting, and renewals
- Manage purchase orders, payments, vendor coordination, and contract support related to IT assets and services
Deployment, Support & Retirement
- Prepare, configure, and deploy Macs including imaging, tagging, software installation, and quality checks
- Support device setup, distribution, and initial user assistance
- Process retired devices through secure data wiping, refurbishment, and compliance checks before resale or disposal
- Coordinate sales of decommissioned equipment, including pricing, promotion with Communications, and logistics with Procurement and Finance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide leadership with regular reports on asset status, utilization, and sales
Experience & Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation certification is highly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, support, or service desk environments (JIRA experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with macOS and Apple hardware; proficient in inventory tracking and audits
- Involvement in full device lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal
- Knowledge of secure data wiping and sanitization best practices
- Collaborative experience working with procurement, accounting, and communications teams
- Experience with IT asset sales, resale events, or customer servicing is a plus
