Privacy Policy

Summary

ISTQB Prep does not collect, transmit or sell personal data. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your answers, practice and mock exam results, favourites, day streak and the certification you selected are stored in a local database on your iPhone. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app removes them.

What we do not collect

No name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, device identifiers for advertising, or usage analytics. The app makes no network requests for its own purposes; all questions ship inside the app and work offline.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether an active subscription exists, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data at all, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text ships with a new version of the app and the date above changes with it.

A question looks wrong

Send the certification, the chapter and the first line of the question. Every question is reviewed against the published syllabus learning objectives, and corrections ship in the next update.

My progress disappeared

Progress is stored on the device only, so it does not move between devices and is lost if the app is deleted. Progress is also kept separately for each certification: switching certification in Profile or on the Home screen shows that certification's own numbers, and switching back restores the previous ones.

Restoring a subscription

Profile → Restore purchases re-checks your Apple Account. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Subscriptions are managed in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, where they can also be cancelled.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
