List of DeobandisDeobandis represent a group of scholars affiliated with the reformist Deobandi movement, which originated in the town of Darul Uloom Deoband in northern India. Founded in 1866, this movement sought to safeguard Islamic teachings amidst non-Muslim governance and societal changes. Emphasizing strict adherence to Islamic law and traditional scholarship, particularly in areas like hadith and fiqh, Deobandīs have established a global network of schools, primarily concentrated in South Asia. Their influential roles encompass teaching, imamship, mosque guardianship, preaching, writing, engaging in debates, and publishing religious literature, with Ashraf Ali Thanwi (1864–1943) being one of their most celebrated scholars.

The soundtrack featured ten songs composed by Sohail Sen with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil, Zafar, Bappi Lahiri and Gautam Susmit. The album was released through YRF Music on 10 January 2014 to positive reviews and became one of the most successful Indian music albums of the year. It received four nominations at the 7th Mirchi Music Awards including Album of The Year.

Muhammad Ishaq (politician)Muhammad Ishaq (born 1935) is a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar and politician. He is an advisor of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and the central advisor and former Ameer of the Khelafat Majlis. He began his political career by joining the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and later became the president of the Pabna district branch of the Nizam-e-Islam Party. During the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, Ishaq served as the publicity secretary of the Pabna district branch of the East Pakistan Central Peace Committee and was the minister of democracy and local autonomy in the last East Pakistan government. After the independence of Bangladesh, Muhammad Ishaq was imprisoned by the new government for collaborating with Pakistan, but was released in 1973 under a general amnesty. In the 1980s, he became a member of the Bangladesh Khilafat Andolan and the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis. Following a split in the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, a faction led by Ishaq formed another political party with a similar name in 2005.

He was also associated with political and religious groups such as Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh, and Islami Oikya Jote.
