The sources of innovation oxford university press (Yates) OK, imagine for a moment, if you will, a band with eight members. Not too hard to imagine, you know. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Avette Brothers, they have about that number, right? Now, I want you to imagine a guy with his laptop making music. That's not too hard to imagine either. There's lots of producers and DJs making tons of music all over the place today. But now, I want you to picture a group of eight musicians, and the only instruments they're using are laptops, and iPads, and iPhones, and things like that. Maybe that's a little harder to imagine, but that's what you're going to experience today. The folks that I'm surrounded by are all students in the College of Arts and Media at CU Denver, and collectively, we are the CU Denver Mobile Device Ensemble.
