We have thought that so that there are no errors in the installation of the MIUI14 ROM , explain the method recommended by its creator and that is usually used for this purpose. Without further ado, we move on to what really interests us:

Preparation of the PC and mobile device

First of all, make sure that we have the necessary drivers installed on our PC .

Then we prepare the device by activating the USB debugging section in DEVELOPMENT OPTIONS and of course, have the phone unlocked. Who doesn't know what I mean can search XDAdevelopers itself for tutorials and information about what I just wrote.

It is assumed that we have already downloaded the indicated ROM for our device, so where it is downloaded on our PC we will only have to unzip it, I particularly unzip it on the desktop of the computer. When all the files are unzipped in a folder, we open it and it will look more or less like this, there may be variations in the order of the files inside.

As we assume that it is the first time that you are going to install it, we make a backup of the device , always. When the data is saved, we turn off the device and put it in Fastboot mode . Press the volume key - and the Power key at the same time until the MIUI logo appears . Being already in fastboot mode, we connect the mobile to the PC and go to the folder that we had extracted and click where it says: windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format . A cmd terminal will open with the text: You are going to wipe your data and internal storage. It will delete all your files and photos stored on internal storage. Do you agree?(Y/N). If we are ready we press Y, otherwise N. Now the terminal will begin to show the installation progress. Here you do not have to worry about anything since the bat file that we start takes care of everything. The only thing you have to do is allow time for it to install and you will know that when the command console closes and the phone restarts the system. If everything went well, you already have your rom and you only have to configure it to your liking.

The clean installation that we have just done, in the next update it is not necessary so the next installation you only have to connect the mobile in fastboot to the PC and click on this file: windows_fastboot_update_rom . No data is deleted here as it is an update.
