Today, with a profound sense of pride, we celebrate one of the most significant dates in the history of our nation — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Independence embodies the sovereign right of our people to determine their own destiny. It is the firm foundation of our statehood, the basis of our peaceful and prosperous life, and the source of confidence in our nation’s future.
