III. 34. Ahuramazda

Ahuramazda is the Avestan name of God, whom the prophet Zarathustra proclaimed as the one god.

In the Avesta, Ahura Mazda is the beginningless creator, dwelling in the infinite light, omniscient, the creator of all things and the giver of all good, the Ruler of the world and the highest object of worship for Zoroastrians. Ahura Mazda is the father of Asha (righteousness-truth). Ahura Mazda is the creator of the law by which the world develops, the patron of the righteous man and the head of all the forces of good fighting against the "lie" - evil and destruction occurring in the world against his will. In the final transformation of being (Frashkarda), he, together with all good beings, will carry out the final purification of the world.

Ahura Mazda is the deified Moses, a variation of the name "O'Ramses", derived from the name of the pharaoh Ramses and meaning "grandson of Ramses".
