III. 28. Ephraim

Ephraim is the founder of the tribe of Ephraim, the younger of the two sons of Joseph by the Egyptian Asenath from Heliopolis (Gen. 46:20).

In fact, Ephraim is Moses, and Joseph is his predecessor on the Egyptian throne, Cush / Sheshi, aka Pharaoh Maaibre Sheshi. The same name - Cush - was borne by the last serpent that ruled over the earth.

Jacob adopted Ephraim, and he was no longer the son of Joseph-Cush. Symbolically, this means that the serpent lost its influence over Moses. The name Ephraim means "Happy Rem" or "Happy Unicorn".

The tribe of Ephraim received as an inheritance the lands of central Canaan (southern Samaria), including the cities of Shiloh, Shechem and Bethel. When settling Canaan, the Ephraimites began to live compactly with the Canaanites, taking tribute from them.
