III. 12. The Book of Job
Bogdan Georgievich LisitsaThe Book of Job is a book that is part of the Old Testament. The Book of Job, with the exception of the prologue and epilogue, is written in a highly poetic language and reads like a poem, and has been translated into verse many times, for example, the Russian translation by Fyodor Glinka. The theme of the poem is the cause of the existence of diseases, grief, and evil. Job is a righteous man, the main character of the Book of Job.
The Book of Job is a story about the life of the son / heir of Pharaoh Shesha. The name Job is a variation of the name Kush / Shesha. Job is Pharaoh Yakubher, the heir of Pharaoh Shesha. Similarly, Marduk was called Bacchus / Bar-Kush / Son of Kush.
The Book of Job tells not about the tragedy of Job's family, but about the tragedy of the kingdom he headed. The sons and daughters of Job are his people. Job is a righteous king who treats his people like his own children. Job loses his wealth, and then his children die. This means that Job's kingdom is destroyed and his people perish. The same thing happened to the righteous Eac - his people died because of the plague sent by the gods. Eac is also a hypostasis of Abraham / Jacob / Moses. For some time, Job lives in very difficult conditions. This means that Abraham lived very hard for some time. Then God restored Job, gave him wealth and returned his children to him. Moreover, the wealth he received was even greater. The return of Job's children is reflected in the myths about Eac, for whom the gods created the Myrmidon people from ants - these are the Egyptians. Abraham / Jacob / Moses arrived in Egypt, began to preach. Many Egyptians and other peoples who came to Egypt to escape the famine became his disciples and followers. Moses organized the conquest of the promised land, his children, his people received lands and wealth.
