Marduk is the supreme god of the Babylonian pantheon, identified with the planet Jupiter. Marduk is the "Father of the Gods", including the father of Nabu, the god of scribal art, as well as the "judge of the gods" and "lord of the gods".

Marduk is a hypostasis of Ham-Nag / Ham the Serpent. The name Marduk means "Ham's penis", literally "Ham's Rod".

Rod is the rod / penis in English and other languages.

Sin - Marduk, the luminary of the night;

Shamash - Marduk of justice;

Adad - Marduk of rains.

Marduk was wise, possessed the art of healing and spells. It was believed that he (as well as the goddess-healer Gula) possessed the ability to resurrect the dead.

In honor of Marduk, a solemn New Year holiday (Akitu, March 15) was held in Babylon, processions were held along the Euphrates. The 12-day ceremony was the successor to the Sumerian holiday "A.KI.TI" ("Birth of Life on Earth"). This means that Marduk liberated the ancient people from the power of the reptiles and a new era began.

The parts of Marduk's body were compared to various animals, plants and precious metals: "his major entrails are lions; his minor entrails are dogs; his spine is cedar; his fingers are reeds; his skull is silver; the outpouring of his semen is gold".
