II. 1. Enlil

Enlil is the supreme god of the Sumerian pantheon, the god of wind, air, earth and storms. Later, he was also revered by the Akkadians, Babylonians, Assyrians and Hurrians. Enlil separated the sky from the earth, created agricultural tools, deities of cattle breeding and agriculture, and introduced people to culture.

The name Enlil means "stork / ibis", close to the Ukrainian "leleka".

Enlil is the personification of the civilization of intelligent birds that challenged the civilization of intelligent reptiles.

Enlil sent the Flood. For a long time, it was believed that the Flood was initiated with the aim of destroying humanity. In particular, in the Epic of Gilgamesh, Enlil is named as one of the initiators of the Great Flood with the aim of destroying humanity. In fact, the Flood was part of a war between smart birds and smart reptiles. The reptiles did business on the earth, mining gold, diamonds and gems. The reptiles used people as slaves in quarries and other facilities. The smart birds defeated the reptiles and forced their remains to leave the earth. Their facilities were destroyed, and the quarry on the site of the current Black Sea was flooded, which was reflected in the myth of the Great Flood.

Enlil personified the northern sky, and was associated with the ancient constellation Bootes. An alternative name in Ancient Greece is Arctophylax ("Guardian of the Bear", the constellation Ursa Major). The constellation is associated with Arkad, the son of the nymph Callisto. When Arkad grew up, he saw his mother in the form of a bear while hunting and wanted to kill her with a bow. Zeus did not allow the death of his former lover and placed her in the starry sky in the form of the constellation Ursa Major.

Arcturus, Alrameh, Azimeh, Colanza, Alpha Bootis is a star in the constellation Bootes. The name Arcturus means "Guardian of the Bear". Arcturus is identified with Arkad, who was placed in the sky by Zeus to guard his mother, the nymph Callisto.

In Arabic tradition, Arcturus is one of two stars called al-simak "the ascended ones". Arcturus is called "Ascended of the Spearman". This name has been variously Latinized, leading to variants such as Aramek, Azimeh, Alramih. Another Arabic name is Harith as-sama, meaning "guardian of the heavens" or Harith al-shamal, "guardian of the north".

In Hawaiian, Arcturus is called Hokule'a, meaning "star of happiness." In Hawaii, it culminates almost exactly at the zenith. Ancient Hawaiian sailors used its altitude to navigate to Hawaii.

Spica, Alpha Virginis, is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo and the sixteenth brightest star in the sky. Another name for the star is Atsimeh. In Arabic, the name means "unarmed simak." The name "simak" comes from samaka, meaning "height," and was applied to two bright stars that are quite close to each other and rise high in the sky: Spica and Arcturus ("spear-bearer simak").

The name Spica comes from the Latin spīca virginis, meaning an ear of Virgo wheat. The ancient Greeks identified the constellation Virgo with Demeter, the goddess of fertility and agriculture, holding ears of wheat in her hands.

The star Alpha Virginis is associated with heights and ears of corn. The appearance of the icon of the Virgin Mary with ears of corn and the Child turned away from people is also a Sign of the approach of a new Harvest, a new Flood.

Number 50

The number 50 corresponded to Enlil in Sumerian numerology. The number 50 is the number of liberation in the ancient world, a tradition founded by Enlil. In ancient Judaism, once every 50 years there was a Jubilee year, a Holy year.

“… and sanctify the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty in the land to all its inhabitants: it shall be a Jubilee to you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and every man shall return to his family.”

(Leviticus 25:10)

The coming of the Jubilee year was announced by the sound of the shofar, a ram's horn. In this year, slaves were set free, and work in the fields was suspended. Sold or mortgaged houses located outside the city were equated with fields and returned to their original owner.

The Jubilee year was a prototype of the time of the coming of the Messiah and the coming of the Summer of the Lord.
