@Mari-LouA Using bath to mean the verb bathe strikes me as unusual as would be dispensing with the terminal e's from verbs like bathe, breathe, clothe, lathe, lithe, loathe, scathe, scythe, seethe, sheathe, teethe, or writhe: the version the e at the end would devoice the th and become a mere noun, not a verb. I would read and say it wrong.
