When parents are away, opportunities for self-entertainment and relaxation pop up everywhere. Are you home alone now? Perhaps you'd fancy a little tasteful nudity today? Here are some steps on how to be naked at home. They cover what to do and how to keep it your little secret.
Find out when your parents will be returning. Don't be too obvious with the question or your parents might suspect something and drop in to check on you!
Call them, if your parents are already gone. Unless you are sure of when your parents might return, it's worth calling them to find out before starting out on this adventure.
Ask general questions like "Will you be home for dinner?" or "What time should I have my chores done before you get back?", etc.
Try slipping the question into idle conversation. You could say something like, "Oh, we can go out for ice cream if you'll be back before the shop closes up!"
Or maybe tell them to call you when they start heading home.
Wait until your parents are out of sight before taking anything off.
Strip down after ensuring you cannot be seen from outside.
Make sure you have an emergency set of clothes to put on. You never know when an unexpected arrival could catch you off guard and create an... awkward situation.
Put your clothes back on well before you expect your parents to come home. Even definite schedules change and in this case, it's better to be safe than sorry!
Stay indoors. According to the laws and culture in most countries, it is (fortunately or unfortunately) important to keep your beautiful body to yourself. Unless you have a very well protected back yard, stay indoors and avoid being seen by anyone at all.
Close all your blinds and curtains.

Forget about your cares. This is an obvious, but excellent first step to relaxing. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and let your worries slide off of you - just like your trousers!
Perform normal household activities. Normal activities that are almost always done in clothing are relaxing and liberating without the nuisance of apparel. You'd be surprised how much more fun vacuuming and cleaning might be in the nude!
Cook yourself a meal. Who knows? Perhaps you are a better cook this way. Be hygienic and take care!
Take a nap. Many people maintain that sleeping in the nude is much more comfortable. Just remember to set an alarm!
Run and jump! Feel the freedom of the air in motion against your skin. Leap nimbly as a wild antelope through your natural habitat. Also included in this category: skipping, cavorting, merrymaking, etc.
Sing and dance! Have a private rock concert or sing a soulful ballad to a deeply affected imaginary audience.
Accessorize. A bowler hat? A bow tie? Leg warmers? A purse? It might be time to find out if these and other accessories look best 'a la mode'.
Do what you want! If you're bold enough, and have a pool, go skinny dipping! Just make sure no one can see you from outside your private property.

In my college years, I would wear long underwear in the dead of summer, with boxers over that, and a long T-shirt to bed. So, learning to be comfortable naked was quite the leap for this fully-clothed lady.

I'm not entirely sure when I became so shy about being nude, because it certainly wasn't when I was a little kid. My parents still have lovely pictures of me naked in the bathtub as a toddler having a blast playing with the water, completely unaware of being totally unclothed. (Luckily, I was able to hide those photos before they ended up in the rehearsal dinner slideshow.) As a kid, it was no big thing. I didn't care at all. It was only in junior high that I remember becoming self-conscious about my body.
All the girls in my class starting looking more like "ladies" with their adult size brassieres, while I could have substituted two band-aids for my bra and still had it all covered. Then to make me feel even worse, all the girls had to change for gym class in front of one another. I remember pretending to need the bathroom stall, and then while in there I would just happen to conveniently change out of my clothes. That way I wouldn't have to show my lack all around the room. I wanted to look like a hot girl in a John Hughes movie. Instead, I looked like Anthony Michael Hall in a John Hughes movie.
Even after I had "blossomed" (as my mother assured me I would), the fear of anyone else seeing me naked just kind of stuck. I did grow slightly more comfortable in front of the man I married. Still, I was never one to walk around naked — with or without my husband in the house.
And then, everything changed. In a way, it was like deciding to sky dive in order to overcome a fear of heights — I had a baby.
My mom's friends said it would happen, that once I was in labor I wouldn't care who saw my breasts or any other part of me. I didn't believe them. I bemoaned the fact that I would have to be naked in order to give birth, and that there was no way I could get over that insecurity. What if I wore a really cute outfit? Surely, the doctors and nurses would appreciate the novelty! No? (No.) But that day in the delivery room, there could have been a camera crew televising all over the world from my hospital bed, and I would not have cared in the least.
Something happened when I went into labor that changed my view of people seeing me naked, because everyone in the entire hospital was seeing me. That's what it felt like anyway. Be it the hormones, or the pain, or the fact that everyone was so casually checking out my vajayjay, after that day I've never experienced the same sort of insecurity about my privates — even now that my privates don't stand at full attention anymore.
Still, you won't find me vacuuming the house "el buffo," but you might find me walking through the house naked on occasion. I just make sure to keep the blinds closed, and let my husband know so he doesn't miss it.
