The Military Oath of the Red Army, is the only such oath in the world to have been adapted to musical score.
At 7:20 the following fragment of the oath is recited:
I am always ready, by order of the Soviet Government, to come to the defense of my Motherland - the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and, as a soldier of the Armed Forces, I swear to defend it courageously, skillfully, with dignity and honour, not sparing my blood and my very life to achieve complete victory over the enemies.
