I bought another book entitled "I Love My Daddy" by the same author and illustrator before I bought this one. The other one is better in my opinion. This book's illustrations are not as cute, the story not as sweet and the rhymes rather lame. It feels like the author couldn't come up with good rhymes and was writing rhymes for the sake of writing rhymes. But overall, it's a sweet book to read with your child.

Mother shared this book with her daughter

My 16-month old son loves this book. We read it almost every day at nap time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that, for some reason, in quite a number of the pictures, there is no picture of the mom! In the I Love My Daddy book, all but one picture has the dad in it. For a book that is all about loving mommy, I would have expected more pictures WITH the mom in it, too!

This is the 3rd time I have purchased this book in 2 years. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with it. She, however, is not very nice to her books so it keeps getting ripped apart. It says a lot about the book for someone to keep replacing it. We read 3 stories before bed every night and every night she insists that this be one of the books. The story is cute and we both love the rhyming. We have quite a few Giles Andreae books and we love them all.

I really LOVED the daddy book by this author so I purchased the mommy book, too. However...I was sadly disappointed! My daughter is still young enough that she doesn't understand the books we read (5 months) and I don't really want her to have this one. All of the references in this book are very "typical" of what women would be expected to do without celebrating things that women can do! It only talks about getting ready with mommy, shopping with mommy, bath time with mommy, cooking with mommy...it really boxes in the role of a mother when I think women can be so much more than these stereotypes. I don't think the author was trying to make any kind of statement with it and I'm not typically a feminist, but this just didn't sit right with me. I want my daughter to see more than those stereotypes in me and the way I love and care for her. I'm bummed!

Not as good as the Daddy book but still a very good book for small kids. The rhymes don't flow as well as the Daddy one but it relates to everything mums do with their kids.

My 3year old grandson picked this out to give his mommy for Christmas and loves this book so much very much reminds of my daughter

This is just absolutely lovely. Bought as a Mothers' Day present from my boys. Great text and lovely pictures. We all love it!

We bought it after reading "I love my daddy"

This book is actually offensive. We bought it after reading "I love my daddy", which is a thoughtful, kind and funny book that is very accurate. Some of the quotes from this book were "I love my daddy. I think he is funny and smart, he thinks so too. However, "I love my mommy" says things like "Mommy holds my hand when we go out and tells me not to scream and shout. She wipes my grubby nose and takes me shopping in the car"... Sexist and disappointing. Makes mom seem like a drag.

not as fun as I love my Daddy

I got this to match the I love my Daddy book, that my child loves and it's quite a fun cute book. But this one is disappointing! The rhyme is not as simple as in the Daddy book, it feels longer to my child...he never sits long enough to finish it. The mom in the book, cleans him and tells him not to shout, and feeds him...yes all that is good and it's what moms do, but like Dads, Moms are also fun, and silly, and cuddly and so many things that could have made the book cute and fun

Just what I was looking for

It is hard to find a great book that speaks to the love and job of a mom.Lots of Daddy books, very few Mommy books. I love reading this to my baby boy. Hopefully he will remember all the wonderful things Mommy's do for them also. Love the pictures and the book is written almost like a song.

A mother is your first teacher, mentor, friend, and caregiver. If you have been asking yourself, ‘why I love my mother,’ many things come into your mind. A mother is the only one who will love you unconditionally and be with you till her last breath. A mother not only brings a baby into this world, but she also raises them with selfless love and care. However, when you grow older and become independent and capable of taking care of yourself, you take your mother for granted and fail to appreciate her contributions to your life. So, recognize her hard work and tell her how much you love her and what she means to you. In this post, we talk about why mothers are priceless and the need to appreciate their efforts.
1. How do I show my love to my mother?
Express your love and appreciation for your mother by sharing her household responsibilities, writing a sweet note, buying her thoughtful gifts, taking her on a relaxing holiday, and pampering her with a rejuvenating spa day. You can also write a poem for her, buy tickets to her favorite show, or just take a day off and spend the whole time talking about life.
Mothers are the ones who teach and discipline children to live a better life. From soothing, loving, and educating babies who grow up to make life-changing and history-making feats, mothers are the rock behind it all. A mother fulfills her responsibilities from the moment she wakes up till she goes to bed. To aid her child’s education, the mother also goes through relearning.
The question “Why do I love my Mom?” has no universal or singular response. We all have a special place in our hearts for mothers. We have an unbreakable and priceless relationship of love and affection with them. For each of us, our mothers are the ones who gave us life, raised us with love and care, served as a teacher for every first lesson of life, and served as a stronghold for all of our emotions. So, take some time to express your gratitude to your mother by thanking her or sending her words of affection.
One can never have enough reasons to explain why one loves their mother. Nevertheless, we have prepared an infographic to help you add more reasons to your list of why you love your mother. So, read on and also keep a note of it so that you may use it later.
