So I just saw her using the app on her phone (I am 100% sure it was tinder).
She is married to my dad [53] and I have two older brothers [21 and 24]. I live at college (but nearby), my 21 year old brother goes to college farther away, and my 24 year old brother lives at home.
So I am definitely NOT going to say anything to my dad (if I am going to tell anyone it would be my siblings or "confront" my mom). That would make the whole thing a lot worse IMO. I feel like if I tell one of my brothers tho, they would say something to him. They have done that before where I tell them not to tell my dad and they agree not to, but then later they tell him because they thought it was what they should do (and they don't have great judgment on that kind of thing).
My mom actually suspected my dad of cheating before (working late) and asked me if I thought so, so it's pretty fucking ridiculous that here she is on tinder.
Here's why I don't want to say anything: we definitely don't have the money for one of them to get their own place, so them living together knowing my mom is cheating would be fucking horrible for everyone. I feel like it's just not a good idea to "shake things up" when they seem to be getting along here.
I do want to say something because my dad doesn't deserve this.
I feel my mom is kinda lonely since I went to college (I'm a first-year). My one brother lives at home but TBH she's a lot closer with me than she is with him. She really wants me to live at home next year and I kinda want to stay at school another year (but that's another whole story). So yeah I think this could be a lonely sort of thing.
tl;dr : Mom using tinder while married to my dad. What do I do?
Update : thank you all for your guys' advice. I'd say it's very unlikely she's looking for friends on tinder, and I saw that she definitely has matches and multiple messages with different people. So assuming that my parents are not looking for a threesome (I can't believe I'm typing that), she is cheating. If not meeting up with these guys, she is still cheating by even messaging guys off tinder (at least I know my dad would consider that cheating!).
What I'm going to do is not say anything for the time being . When it seems right, I will talk to my mom. I'm not going to tell my dad without saying anything to my mom first because I'm not looking to ruin my relationship with her either (she's still my mom even if she's the one doing something wrong) and for the very small chance she is not cheating. When I do talk to her though, if she admits to cheating or I basically have the understanding that she is, I will tell her that she's telling him or I am. I'm not going to have someone else know that I know and not have my dad know.

I have to say, I'm surprised by the majority of these answers. While you can't discount the possibility your mom and dad have a more active sex life than you think (ie. looking for threesomes), I think the far more likely situation is that your mum is at the very least looking, if not actively cheating on your dad.
Scenario one with the threesomes, you talk to dad. You're awkward, he's awkward, give it some time and you'll both get over it. Scenario two, you tell dad, and it turns out your mom is cheating. Things will probably get ugly, and it might lead to a break up. It's not a good outcome, but then you come to... Scenario three. Your mum is cheating, and your dad runs the risk of finding out if he catches an STI from her, which she may catch from someone else (it's always a risk). In which case, you go back to option 2, but with even more bitterness and potentially a life changing disease all round.
All all the options are bad, but your dad has a right to know. And if things do end with a break up, just remember, none of it is 'your fault, your mom is the one married to your dad and on tinder, not you.
I agree, but I think OP needs to talk to her mom first and give her mom the chance to talk to her dad.
Tell your dad. Your dad deserves to know and find a better partner and your mom deserves a partner she wants and will love/listen/respect her.
The only reason they're getting along is because your dad thinks his relationship is doing better than it actually is. If he knew then at least one of them could start the process of saving up to live separately.
Your dad is what early 50's? Why should he be stuck with your mom the rest of his life if she's cheating on him and according to you doesn't get treated that great by your mom. It's unfair to him.
About the "mom suspected dad of cheating thing" it's not uncommon for a lot of cheaters to project their own feelings onto their partners i.e. "If I'm cheating then it's totally possibly my spouse is too."

It's just sexism. Yes, there are more reasons someone could be on Tinder then to hook up. But it is unlikely.
Ask your mother about it. Ask her if/what she's looking for. Sometimes the frontal approach is just the best. If she's honest you will know, if she's coming up with bs then you will know.
I would tell your dad so he can make his own decision about how to handle this - this is clearly something that deeply concerns him, and it seems wrong to me that someone else (i.e., you) gets to make the decision about whether things get "shaken up" or not, when he is clearly the one most affected by it.
There are positive things that could happen if you tell him - maybe he already knows, maybe they have an arrangement, etc. But maybe she is cheating, and maybe him knowing it will help them fix their relationship. Of course, there is always the possibility they divorce, but tbh, all you kids are grown and I think at this point it's fair for them to do what is right for them, even if it inconveniences you a bit.
I can't believe how many people on here are making up excuses for your mom when the other two tinder-related posts on this sub right now are pretty unanimously stating "Yeah, he's probably cheating." The reality is, there are alternative ways to use Tinder, but the most likely explanation for both men and women is that they're using it to find dates or hook-ups - so if they're in a non-open relationship, then that mean they're cheating. Just tell your dad - he knows the situation better than you do, and he's the one who should make a decision that so highly affects himself.
