Американский сериал 'Я мечтаю о Джинни' использовал ту же фабулу, что и советская книга 'Старик Хоттабыч' и английская повесть 'Медный кувшин': джинн попадает к самодостаточному человеку, который доволен своей жизнью и ничего не хочет загадывать. Джинн же радостно забрасывает своего спасителя подарками, чем делает только хуже. В данном случае дело усугубляется тем, что протагонист - астронавт, его работа секретна, а за ним самим пристально наблюдает начальство. Единственным (но весьма весомым) минусом была актриса на роль джинна. Сериал снят во времена махрового расизма, и никому и в голову не пришло бы взять на главную роль арабку или хотя бы мексиканку. Но все же, почему блондинка? В нашем паблике я самый большой любитель блондинок, и я официально заявляю - в данном случае светловолосая актриса была НЕ НУЖНА! Я действительно должен поверить, что эта потерянная сестра Мэрилин Монро - землячка Саладина и Гаруна аль Рашида? Загримировать, волосы покрасить - не судьба? Я бы с удовольствием посмотрел ремейк, в котором джинна играла бы девушка ближневосточной внешности.
