This dress has been detailed so exhaustingly in videos on my youtube channel, that it is hard for me to honestly talk about its construction any further. Please just enjoy the pictures and know that any questions you could possibly have regarding this dress is already documented in the videos on my channel. If there are any questions you have directly please leave a comment and let me know so I can make public any content that hasn't been release. Trust me, it has all been filmed or broadcast on Periscope. I only did Tissue Fitting, which is detailed extensively in my Youtube videos. 
If I wanted to take this dress apart and knit-pic every single wrinkle, it would be ridiculous. I could have worn a body slimmer to take care of the back rolls....yeah right!!?? Whatever, you just hold that thought. In the mean time, lets be real, this is a ponte knit, very nice I might add. Beefy with wonderful recovery. The fit is wonderful, considering I did not do a muslin. Now, I'm gonna go eat some pie.

I looked at the back and thought what an amazing fit. I didn't see back rolls at all. I think sometimes we over analyze our makes when they are just fine. It's a beautiful dress Andrea and I love that it's made from a ponte!
Carolyn, you are so very right. I don't know why I have a tendency to way overanalyze my garments. I wore it to a function friday and felt so very comfortable. I never gave one thought to any fitting issues.

Good afternoon Sew-Fitters, I'm happy to finally share this look with you. By finally, I mean, sit down and type this post. As it seems, for some reason, I am more inclined lately to share on my blog. I feel warm and fuzzy on my blog, with less of the need to keep to a few finely curated words, #hashtag-s or sentences. Here, I can just type uninhibited by limitations. That sorta breaks the flow. Do you feel that way sometimes? Moving on.... This look is one I sewed as part of my wardrobe plans from more than a year ago. Having a nice guiding principle, my own taste, is a good way to determine what to make, and know that whatever it is, will fit my lifestyle. I prefer the Boho and Urban chic look. A little sporty with a whole lot of sassy. I suppose we all are continually improving our wardrobes for the lifestyle we live. However, for me at this time, I love wearing dresses or sporty looks, even if it is with a pair of white chucks or flats. My secret sauce is a good c
Happy Saturday Sew-Fitters, OMG, I am in love with this T-Shirt. My plans really were only to make this pattern for the sewAlong , since I normally use my own sloper/block to create my t-shirts and such. But every pattern has a little something, something to make you feel special. I guess there is always a treat. This pattern, has that oversized 1" v-neck collar band. A little tricky to get right at first, but once you master that front v-neck, you will be happy you took the time to work it out. I used a double top-stitch, on the cover stitch machine and I even managed to turn the corner. I'm still working on that clean finish technique. It's almost like using a double needle to top-stitch, which was a feat in itself. Not all perfect, but remember, I'll never reach my perfection, it's too flawed in and of itself. Wrangling in this child for this photoshoot/pattern review, was not as easy as I thought. Since I was sewing a dress for her, I thought she would show up ready and willing to fit and take pictures whenever I wanted. OOOOOhhh....but no!! Going "live" on the internet for review and scrutinizing of her clothes isn't something your average person wants. Everything has to be perfect, her hair, face, nails, mood, weight, and everything else you can think of when presented with the idea of being put on a quasi-chopping block. This model-child doesn't have a problem walking a runway for designers. Neither does she have a problem with self-esteem. However, presented with a "sewing" blog and still shots that are there to be reviewed and analyzed is a game changer for sure. I present to you my review of the Bootstrap Fashions Jersey Dress for Jennifer.....please be considerate and remember this is a HUMAN Child you are dealing with!!!
