Bogdan Georgievich LisitsaGelon - according to Herodotus, a city in the land of the Scythian tribe of the Red Budins, the capital of the Gelon tribe, which descended from Greek colonists expelled from coastal settlements and settled among the Budins, and spoke a mixture of Scythian and Greek. Herodotus describes Gelon as a wooden city, surrounded by a high wall, each side of which stretched for a long distance, with wooden houses and sanctuaries, including those of the Hellenic gods. Gelon is ancient Kyiv. The name Gelon is close to ilan (snake) in the Azerbaijani language.
Gelon = ilan
In ancient times, Kyiv was the residence of the serpent king Shesha. After defeating the reptiles, the Scythians took over Kiev and their kings ruled here.
