Landscape Photographer John Shephard has spent over 20 years pushing creative boundaries in the world of panoramic photography. Here is a shot that I took while hiking up at Mt. I had totally forgot that I had taken this and was quite happy when I found it amongst my files! Started the hike at 1am in the morning with nothing to guide us but the moonlight. Wanted to get to this before sunrise and it paid off wonderfully. This was shot near the Olympic National Forrest in Washington. This was an amazing morning where the scene transformed so many times it was magical As we hiked into the area in the dark I could see cloud formations so I knew we were going to get nice color in the sky at sunrise, however I had no idea we would have a lenticular cloud hovering over Mt Rainer and a huge swirling cloud that danced around the mountain for hours.
