Debian: # apt-get install bsdtar fakeroot

Put in a same directory the scripts and archive: $ ls
gog_huniepop_2.0.0.3.sh
libplayit2.sh
play-huniepop.sh

Start the building process from this directory: $ sh ./play-huniepop.sh

Wait a couple minutes, the building will end by giving you the commands to launch as root to install the game. It should be something similar to:
Arch Linux: # pacman -U /some/path/to/game_package.pkg.tar

Debian: # dpkg -i /some/path/to/game_package.deb
# apt-get install -f

It’s a gameplay first approach that’s part dating sim, part puzzle game, with light RPG elements, a visual novel style of presentation, an abrasive western writing style and plenty of "plot".

So who else has played the flash knockoff copycat of HuniePop? I found out about it via HuniePop's twitter and gave it a go. It has even worse art than HunieCam Studio, it somehow got even less subtle than HuniePop already is and of course shoves microtransactions in your face at every moment (which is quite noticably despite the overabundance of large boobs also behind shoved in your face). So yeah... it's terrible.

Steam & GOG achievements have been added to HuniePop 2: Double Date! Just grab the latest update (v1.0.5) and you’ll have access to a mix of 20 total progress and challenge achievements to unlock.
The achievements that can be retroactively unlocked, will be. This means that the game will check your existing save files and automatically award you with achievements that you have technically already earned.
Note: You can NOT earn achievements on Chad/Stacy (Easy) difficulty. Achievements can only be unlocked within save files that are set to Average Guy/Girl or higher difficulty.

Note: Some bug reports are not universal and seem to only apply to a very small handful of players with a specific hardware configuration. These problems are much harder to diagnose and will take some time to get to the bottom of. I may even try to reach out to you and ask for your help if you are one of these players. There’s a lot more that we’re planning to do in the near future. This update was mainly focused on balance/playability. The next update will most likely be more focused on bugs/technical stuff. Thanks!
