Lloris defends Davinson Sanchez against criticism

In Tottenham's defeat, defender Davinson Sanchez was a player heavily criticized by home fans. 35 minutes, the Colombian player replaced Clement Lenglet. In the 51st minute, Sanchez made a direct mistake that led to the home team's second goal. In the 58th minute, Sanchez left the field to make way for Danjuma.

Immediately after Sanchez left the field, this player was subjected to a lot of harsh words from the stands. Tottenham fans were very angry because of the performance of the defender wearing the number 6 shirt. It is not difficult to understand when this player was heavily insulted by the home fans.

Witnessing his teammates being criticized, captain Hugo Lloris expressed frustration. The French goalkeeper told beIN Sports: "The insults started before that. When Sanchez came on, he was already booed. I have never seen anything like it in my career.

I feel bad for Sanchez. He is a teammate, a good friend and has contributed a lot to the club over the years. What Sanchez has just gone through is really sad. This is something no one wants to see in games."

Coach Stellini also expressed sympathy for Davinson Sanchez. He said he would still consider letting this player start in the upcoming intense matches, against MU, Liverpool or Newcastle.

The defeat against Bournemouth put Tottenham at a disadvantage in the race for the top 4. Currently, Lloris and his teammates are ranked 5th, 3 points less than MU but have kicked more than 2 matches.
