**Huelga FGC: Chaos in Madrid as Workers Strike Over Wages and Conditions**

Madrid was thrown into chaos today as workers of Ferrocarriles de la Generalidad de Cataluña (FGC), the regional rail network, launched a strike demanding better wages and working conditions. The protest, which began at dawn, left commuters stranded as trains ran at reduced capacity or not at all. Passengers flooded social media with frustration, sharing photos of empty platforms and delays stretching into hours.

The strike, called by the union CCOO, comes amid rising tensions over low salaries and poor working conditions in the public sector. FGC workers, many of whom have been with the company for years, say their pay has not kept up with inflation. 'We can't live on this,' said one worker, who asked to remain anonymous. 'We're not asking for miracles, just a fair wage and respect.'

Transport officials have warned of severe disruptions, with some lines running only every two hours. The strike is expected to last at least 24 hours, though negotiations with the government remain stalled.
